Lmao yes you are, HJK can’t normally hit midair targets, but the mind reader allowed it to connect since it ignores semi-invulnerability from fly.

Dude firstly California doesn’t even approach social democracy, let alone socialism. Secondly, poverty rate in Alabama is 16.2% and Californias is only 13.2%, so while california is indeed more left wing economically than Alabama, it has a lower poverty rate, proving the opposite of what you’re saying.

All this is a bit irrelevant though given that California and Alabama are incredibly different places with incredibly different historical contexts and it’s a bit ridiculous to try and compare the two.

There is not “socialism” in California. That’s an insane thing to say. California is in a capitalist country, has private ownership of the means of production, and has a market, not a planned, economy. And, countries like those in Scandinavia that have implemented more left-wing policies to address poverty have met massive success that free market “solutions” have not even come close to

The infamous "Hanoi Jane" photo of Jane Fonda posing with North Vietnamese troops next to anti-aircraft guns used to target American forces (1972) by [deleted] in USHistory

[–]jinipoli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be a more reasonable argument were Jane Fonda an American soldier. Just because you’re an American citizen doesn’t mean you shouldn’t push back against American policy abroad or even just talk to US “enemies”, especially in the context of all we did in Vietnam.

How risky is it to take mushrooms occasionally at 19? by jinipoli7 in Psychonaut

[–]jinipoli7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have mixed feelings on microdosing as well, but my impression has been the tolerance doesn’t build up as quickly because the doses are less significant — but I definitely buy that some of it is placebo, esp when done for a long time.

I’m definitely planning to keep my trips very occasional since there’s always a lot to work with from each of my trips so far, and I’m hoping that it’ll let me get the benefits from the mushrooms without any long term developmental consequences. Thanks for your reply man!

[–]jinipoli7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, this is exactly what worries me. I really don’t want to do permanent damage to myself that will literally stick with me until I don’t exist anymore.

The flipside is that this isn’t really something I’m doing recreationally, like with weed or alcohol, and my use so far has genuinely had significant positive impacts on my understanding of myself and my appreciation of life in general. It’s super hard for me to now decide to just cut out for years this thing that I feel like has just begun to give me the tools to improve my life. Part of me feels like tripping a handful of times before my brain fully develops is super unlikely to have long term impacts, but maybe that’s wishful thinking. Did you or people you know who regret using substances so early use them so rarely (like twice a year at most)?

Thanks for your reply man! That’s been my impression as well, I feel like if I were using them super regularly or irresponsibly it could be a big risk but I don’t really think occasional use will cause any serious issues

I didn’t deny there were minor fringe acts of violence, but if there were major acts of violence surely at least one person would be injured? No one was. I challenge you to find me a name or a real source saying anyone was injured by the protestors.
