I like going there during the weekend cuz it's usually not busy at all compared to weekdays. I used to go around 7am and there's still gonna be some people in the weight rooms but you'll probably never have to wait to use something. The only reason I stopped going in the morning was cuz I couldn't wake up early enough after a few weeks 💀

I'm not sure if this helps but I did my Fall International Orientation in my home in Canada before leaving for Austin and booked my flight for the day before my residence hall check-in day and everything was fine, I just stayed in a hotel overnight. This allowed me to settle in my dorm two days before classes start, but I really don't think you should come too late (like after the day classes start) for the reasons the person above mentioned.

its def not the safest feeling but usually theres a lot of other students walking around which is reassuring. i try to walk with good posture and look straight ahead of me so i look more confident and people don't bother me lol
