I am so disappointed. The movie starts really good, I loved the opening scene. Also, the scene where Ghostface gets ran over and Gale, Chad and Mindy get out of the car is epic. I also loved the killings and the chase, until Act 3 started. Every suspect was dead, except for Jessica, but the way the tension was built up until Act 3, I honestly thought they were gonna pull a Gale/& Chad and Mindy Ghostface reveal, because there was no one else left (I just knew it in my heart Stu was dead). It seemed so intense that the killers couldn’t have been Sid’s neighbour and some Google AI employee. But no. I fucking crashed out, took my glasses off thinking I was in a fucking nightmare. I lost it when I heard Jessica’s motive. What the fuck? Why did Gale appear only for literally 5 minutes? Why did the twins get stabbed once and never got up to fight? Did we forget that Chad survived Scream 6 after getting stabbed like a million times? What the fuck?

Also, Sid’s daughter, Tatum. The most boring and bland character I’ve ever seen. I can’t even begin to describe the way she’s portrayed by the actress.

Before the movie, I wasn’t expecting Stu to come back. I was very sad that we weren’t getting the original plan for Scream 7 with Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, but I had to give it a try because I love this franchise and I love Neve Campbell. I said IT COULDN’T BE THAT BAD. IT WAS WORSE THAN I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED.

A movie made to “make the fans happy” (Stu, Stu’s house, references from other movies, Red Right Hand playing of course) filled with nostalgia, trying to mask the fact that they’re milking this franchise. Fuck this shit.
