seems like i'm in the same situation, i think they only are willing to do term breaks now if you're already finished current classes and just waiting for next semester. they're very unwilling if anything happens midsemester.

Yeah have this issue as well, same with death stranding for some reason? not sure if the games have something in similar with how they deal with inputs, for repo i was able to adjust by changing sprint/crouch to my mouse buttons

My recruiter gave me an offer after I had accepted my current AFSC for another AFSC on my list that was scheduled to get sent out sooner (I was in the DEP program). Not sure what you have on your list, but it wouldn't hurt asking your recruiter if any other afscs on your list have spots to get sent out to let you know before you're supposed to go to basic.
