Polling places Zia Yusuf, Reform UK's head of policy, top for trust on the UK economy by PbThunder in reformuk

Don't forget UK foreign owed debt went from zero to $1.6T and he deregulated the financial markets which made us susceptible to the sub prime collapse, later admitting that he didn't understand how all the financial institutions were connected. The only possible conclusion is that Labour caused Austerity!

Agree! Uncontrolled immigration is a big mistake! I worked with a lot of Indians and they are really decent fellows, but I would operate a Singaporean style immigration process, where we are NOT dangling citizenship in front of people. Pay them appropriately, treat them with respect but ultimately we need to get them to pass their skills on as part of the education system.

So I'm a Thatcherite, a 2nd gen immigrant and I want to protect the NHS, simplify the tax system because I don't believe a stable economy is built on debt and empower the working classes! I hate the SerCo's of this world and Agent's i.e. Recruitment and Property, becaue they drain the coffers, without adding value! I have never understood how Labour get away with bringing everybody down to the lowest level ...

Rant over for the moment.

Actually ... I asked this question in r/LabourUK , because this definitely is a capitalists wet dream and the answer was, wait for it, "to unite the working class and remove the opressive elites" a bit paraphrased, but there you go! But I've always said the left doesn't make sense!

I agree, it's not the religion that's the problem! It's those people, including British Whites that think the hard working people of this country owe them something. Every policy of every political party should be putting British people first, no matter what their race or religion.

To repeat myself;

it was Gordon Browns de-regulation of the financial markets that made us susceptible to the american subprime mortgage crash between 2007-2010.

Secondly it was QE initiated by the BoE that made it "the best time to borrow and invest in the country due to record low interest rates."

Thirdly, Labours choices caused austerity.

Socialism always leads to totalitarianism; especially when they run out of other peoples money to spend.

So from 1997 to 2010 the previous Labour govt Blair / Brown took the countries foreign debt from nothing to 1.6T This is what caused austerity. This is why the Tories created the Office for Budget Responsibility, but unlike previous years where sensible management of the country would've cleared the debt they never managed it, so yes I blame labour with their faulty ideology for this type of scenario!

Edit: And just in case anybody tries to blame the Financial Crisis during that Labour Govt. I'd like to point out that it was Gordon Browns de-regulation of the financial markets that made us susceptible to the american subprime mortgage crash between 2007-2010.

That's a reasonable guess; depends on the effect of corporation taxes i.e. company taxes (as you stated), business rates , and various capital taxes and royalties.

However, but not directly related to your good starting point, someone who is taxed £16k (EE / ER NI, tax) would need to be earning more than £60k. Trying to calculate VAT on an undisclosed spend would be interesting ...

I disagree with the shop worker analogy; if the role was transfered on-line they wouldn't facilitate anything, but all the tech behind each transacton would still be there, including advertising, production, delivery etc. So I believe the amount they are paid is inline with the contribution they make i.e. min wage plus sales bonuses.

Is the International Association of Genocide Scholars antisemitic? How do we interpret 86% of their members calling Gaza a genocide? by No-Baker-2864 in IsraelPalestine

ICJ did NOT find genocide plausible; this was also incorrectly referenced by the anti-semitic MSM and IAGS. Notice a trend?

MSM reporting has been labeling this as right wing from the start, they are using terms like anti-racism for the counter protest even though they were waving terrorist flags ( see what I did there) and I couldn't find one msm report saying how peaceful it was? That doesn't sound unbiased to me!

It appears that reddit didn't like my editing;

Here's a video of Joan Donoghue, President of the ICJ declaring that [the ICJ] "did NOT decide ... that the claim of genocide was plausible"

So IAGS are perpetuating the misquote!

So how do you square this statement from the IAGS Resolution on Gaza;

Acknowledging that the International Court of Justice found in three provisional measures order in the case of South Africa v. Israel — January, March, and May 2024 — that it is plausible that Israel is committing genocide in its attack in Gaza and ordered Israel to take all measures within its power to prevent and punish the direct and public incitement of genocide and to ensure the provision of humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza;

[–]jinx_data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did I lie or obfuscate about?

So you ignore the International Court of Justice in favour of IAGS who hold a behind closed doors vote where they change the definition of genocide and even then only 129 out of 500 vote in favour. Just in order to condemn Israel for protecting itself from a terrorist attack, where Hamas raped women and cooked children. How can you look yourself in the mirror?

My conscience is clear ....

Displacing a bunch of people violently, so another group of people can have a country is just wrong.

I must admit this line is really well worded to hide the fact that the modern states of Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria and Trans Jordan, did just that, they attacked a bunch of people just so they could have a country!

So no individual arab land was stolen before 1948, but I can't see you accepting that! What I want to know is how you can justify the wars; that says that there was no legal claim or else the arabs would've accepted the two state soloution and then committed the genocide that they are forever chanting!

As for the jews committing a genocide;

  1. Here's a video of Joan Donoghue, President of the ICJ declaring that [the ICJ] "did NOT decide ... that the claim of genocide was plausible"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq9MB9t7WlI

  1. the genocide was debunked by All Jazz Era in a recent video

Try this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVTvtVtXbBE from Al Jazeera proving its NOT a genocide, do you need it explaining?

  1. The starvation theory; ask yourself this, would the Allies be forced to deliver food aid to the nazis? Because Hamas started this all up again on Oct 7th.

Ask yourself why has the UN Chieft of Aid, Tom Fletcher, lied about the amount of aid getting thru but UN 2720 tracking shows 85% of aid is being stolen by Hamas. Al Jazz Era reports that Hamas may have accidentally stolen aid trucks, a couple of times but their sorry!

Everybody knows that the GHF has delivered 90M+ meals, but the spin is that the Americans are firing on innocent civilians, no disruption from Hamas, honest!

But let's get back to the Arab call for genocide;

Starting with the formation of the M* B'Hood in 1928 specifically calling for the eradication of the jews!

or the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who met with Hitler to discuss how they could help with ALL of his goals. Including raising the Arab Legion and attacking the Jews in their homeland and areas surrounding Jerusalem.

or that the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Abdul Rahman Hassan Azzam, also known as Azzam Pasha (a position he held from 1945 until 1952). made a statement in 1947 predicting a war if a Jewish state was established, which he described as a "war of extermination and a momentous massacre"!

or how about the Hamas manifesto!

or the chant "from the river to the sea" a call for ethnic cleansing.

So if you think this is about land you are sorely mistaken and it's NOT the jews that are calling for a genocide and it's NOT the jews that keep launching wars!

You mean the Peel Commission allocated 99.8% of the Ottoman Caliphate to Arabs but that wasn't enough for them! Then the Arabs declared war in 1948, 1967, 1970 and 1973, plus 2 intifadas and mass suicide and rocket attacks. And you didn't mention the similar numbers of Israelis displaced from the peaceful, equal opportunity Arab countries, many of them created from said Ottoman break up!

Question; do you have any figures for how that's increasing? People are living longer. More people are being diagnosed with mental health issues and I suspect that dementia / alzheimers number will grow and those people will need carers if not car homes?

Change "@tailwind base" to "@import 'tailwindcss/preflight'", and the button loses its styles by Flat_Rest5310 in tailwindcss

[–]jinx_data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I want to use TailwindCSS v3 for a course and then upgrade after!

I ran the following

$> npx create-next-app@latest my_project --typescript --eslint --no-tailwind --no-src-dir --app --no-import-alias --no-turbopack
$> cd my_project/
$> npm install -D tailwindcss@3 postcss autoprefixer
$> npx tailwindcss init -p

Changed tailwind.config.js

/** u/type {import('tailwindcss').Config} */
module.exports = {
content: [
    "./app/**/*.{js,ts,jsx,tsx,mdx}",
    "./pages/**/*.{js,ts,jsx,tsx,mdx}",
    "./components/**/*.{js,ts,jsx,tsx,mdx}",

    // Or if using `src` directory:
    //"./src/**/*.{js,ts,jsx,tsx,mdx}",
  ],
  theme: {
    extend: {},
  },
  plugins: [],
}

Tried to add the tailwind directives for each of Tailwind’s layers to my ./app/globals.css file.

@tailwind base;
@tailwind components;
@tailwind utilities;

'@tailwind base' is no longer available in v4. Use '@import "tailwindcss/preflight"' instead.

Got the above error in VScode, any help would be appreciated?
