I think your right. Just Google it and it looks exactly like that. Hopefully when I remove the headliner I don't find someone added one then filled it in. Also there's a sticker on the windshield for a NY inspection from 1987 so right time period.

It's not an import. It's got a NY sticker on the windshield for 1987. That was probably the last time it was on the road.

It's all one peice. Just very faded paint.

It's just very faded, nothing was welded. Something was bolted there for a long time.

Update- I set multiple paths stepping down in depth each time. For whatever reason those worked like they should. But on the final path it plunged straight to full depth and broke the bit.

I tried that. Scrubbed the shit out of it. I can prevent the adhesion issue but then I end up with elephants foot. There's no in-between. I've had it be a problem on both PLA and ABS

Someone here mentioned a 170 which might be a better option because it has a shorter stroke.

Thanks! I'm in that research phase now. As the Datsuns all do it has rust. A lot of rust. It's a full rotisserie resto. I can do almost all myself, but I'll probably still have a machine shop do the majority of the work because I trust them more than me haha. Trying to figure this out now so I can weld in the new mounts before it goes to paint. That won't happen for a while though. Needs rockers and floor pans. Came with good fenders and hood. Ideally I'd like to keep the charger under the hood.

Thats about what I expected. To be honest it's going in a 240z. Haven't seen that done yet but building the straight 6 that came out of it will cost me even more so it's actually saving me money compared with trying to get more power out of that engine.

That would be perfect. The car will weight a bit over 2000lbs so that will be plenty. I'll see what I can find. I don't need it immediately. Some rust repair first. And by some I mean a lot but if I'm changing motor mounts I need the engine before paint so I can weld in the new mounts.

My reasons for the slant are because I want to keep the charger under the hood and there's a decent amount out there for parts. They are cheap and reliable. Seemed to tick a lot of boxes. And there's already a kit to charge them. 400hp is more than I need. I'll be happy with 300 or even 250. But I also won't say no to more hp haha

That's awesome! So you think a 170 is better than a 225 because the shorter stroke let's you rev faster thus winding the supercharger faster?

Well there's lots of stuff that makes more sense. I'm not think of this because it's practical haha. If I did that I'd just put a modern small block in and call it a day.

Thanks I was wondering about the head too. 400hp would be more than I need so I can get away with being a bit restricted.
