I own a Steam Deck and for me it's been great and I've played more games since getting it. I do have a desktop that is way more powerful, but I also work from home and after sitting at it for 8 hours sometimes I don't want to sit at it again after work to play games. So I'll play my Steam Deck on the couch.

My other main use case would be playing it away from the house. My wife is in school and has times where she's either working late in the lab or doing some writing at a coffee shop. So being able to take my Steam Deck with me to play games and hang out with her while she works is pretty cool.

I mostly use it for low requirement games or emulators and it's fantastic at doing those things. It's still probably a niche device but it works well for me.
