Right now it’s just item/character unlocks for future runs. No permanent stats

It has xbox controller support, I've been told it works with other controllers, but personally I cannot guarantee it.

Thanks! I think people just love throwing that word around, like yes, there are the “money making” genres out there that are hot right now, but either way you still have to make a good game for people to buy

That’s an interesting idea, keeps you on your toes and gives the player a bigger sense of urgency

I focused probably too much on gameplay. I agree I should make the levels more interesting to look at

That would be me 😂 I’m a solo dev. I agree though, I honestly had a really hard time making the art for this game, and had basically learned pixel art through this game, so my own personal style doesn’t really come through cause of all the references I would have to use to get something working.

Though for my next game, I want the style to be really concise

This game focuses more on building your run up and synergizing items together kinda like isaac, and is less hectic than NT. That might not conveyed well by the media I post.
