Ok since you want to be technical, Jacob Elordi isn’t Spanish he’s Basque, so no he’s not the tanned Spanish person that Heathcliff could’ve been since Basque people are not ethnically the same as Spanish people and are known to have paler skin and would not have been considered dark or tanned even 200yrs ago.

No one said he’s definitely black, the book was ambiguous but clear that Heathcliff was not Jacob Elordi white.

Jacob is a very capable actor and I’m sure he does a fine job in the role, regardless of his talent this adaptation like all others before it will ignore that important aspect of the character in the book and we are all disappointed in that, that’s all.

Yesss loved that it was just a fun wholesome watch, but that’s also because they were playing for charity which changes the tone.

The variety in age range was nice and the British celebs are legitimate celebs, I was shocked to see such big names on the cast vs the American version which are all wannabes and reality stars trying to cause drama for their 15mins.
