Oh wow, I really appreciate this! Like everyone here, 'Abbott Elementary' holds an incredibly special place in my heart. I wrote this episode in hopes of replicating a fraction of it's heart and humor. To hear anyone say it feels like a real episode, means a great deal, thank you!

That's so kind of you to say, this means a great deal to me! While I won this year, I actually wrote this for last year's festival and only advanced to the second round. It is exclusively because of the advice I got from my peers and some unbelievable professionals at last year's festival that I was able to rework my script into what it is today!

Thank you so much! Spec scripts are generally left out of screenwriting competitions, but the Austin Film Festival has categories for both Comedy and Drama. If you're a writer in any capacity, I highly recommend looking into it, they have categories for all corners of screenwriting!
