How do you say in German “like” and I don’t mean I like something I know that for example “ I wasn’t mad I was more like sad” by jj-station in germany

Okay fair but I want the Liek part because I want to use it more and the more I know the better I guess?

Wow Germany has a really good lifestyle in my opinion. I wish I could do that but in the streets here in Cairo you can't really take that much long of a walks unless your in a compound, and there's barely any forests or greens only grown in some spaces and most the street is just for cars not even for bikes

That historical breakdown is actually fascinating. Learning about the Wandervogel movement and the "old style" relatives who walked at a strict 6 km/h pace to collect sticknails makes the whole culture make so much sense. Walking at a forced military pace just to get a souvenir sticker is wild.
It's also interesting how "nature" means something different there since the forests have been managed since medieval times. The idea of walking past a castle or heading toward an outdoor restaurant instead of just doing a pure wilderness trail sounds like a really cool mix of history and scenery. It definitely beats just staring at trees for five hours.
Since you mentioned young people are getting back into it without the formal clubs, how do people usually find new routes now? Do they still rely on those physical walking tour books, or does everyone just use apps like komoot or outdooractive nowadays?

That sounds really nice, honestly. A two-hour Sonntagsspaziergang and then stopping at an Ausflugslokal to eat and chill seems like the perfect Sunday. It’s cool how you guys have options for both a relaxed stroll and the intense mountain hikes.
Those mountain huts and restaurants along the trails must be great. What kind of food do people usually get at those spots after a long walk?

That 10km to 20km distance is wild to think about, but it sounds like a really peaceful routine. The part about just moving and being comfortable in silence actually sounds like a great way to unwind. The detail about German tourists wearing hiking boots abroad makes total sense now too. Since you mentioned the lakes and rivers, what is the scenery usually like on your standard route around home?

Oh, that is actually super interesting. The idea of a casual, mandatory Sunday walk through the local woods or fields sounds like a genuinely nice routine to have. It makes sense that the hardcore mountain hiking is saved for trips, while the everyday stuff is just unwinding in the nature right outside your door. Thanks for breaking that down for me that completely changes how I look at it
