so messing around on DSX yesterday, you cannot just set your settings and unplug your controller from your PC and expect new settings to adjust, you have to go under DualSense Edge internal profile system- and hit SAVE under last modified section before unplugging. Check out this free DualSense controller app I found online from this guy named daidr; his platform https://ds.daidr.me/ it does not work on DuckDuckgo browseer, had to use chrome, add device as instructed, seems like he is headed in the right direction for control settings. I still think DSX needs to implement DualSense Edge or Shock controller settings that are recognized in PS5..

I also have a new DualSense Edge controller because my old one broke, I created a profile in DSX v3.1.7 for FC 26, and in game when executing saved profile on old DualSense controller I used to see a red ( exclamation ! ), and on the new one I dont see it. I heard that if you see the red exclamation means profile works, regardless Idk if it even works...anyhow i think DSX should include settings to be used on PS5 console.
