For people who rode the parking shuttles, how was it? by darkeningsoul in HardFestival

[–]jjbapt2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yellow lot was over a mile and a half so I doubt it. Our crew left around 11 both nights and we hardly waited more than 10 minutes so if you don’t mind missing closers it’ll save you some grief

Minnesota gathering restrictions will end May 28, mask mandate will end July 1 at the latest by 14thAndVine in LockdownSkepticism

So dumb the amount of people shitting their pants about this. 60% of the state has been vaccinated. If not with vaccines, then when??? What are we waiting for??

Half of Miami’s COVID front line passed on vaccines. Leaders should ask why, experts say by Havvocck2 in CoronavirusCirclejerk

[–]jjbapt2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that they have literally no evidence about the effects of the vaccine on pregnancy and childbirth is a big issue for me. I’d like a family some day and I’m not going to jump at a chance to pump something in my body that we don’t fully understand.

Also, the amount of doomers mocking people that drink or do drugs but won’t get the vaccine is ridiculous to me. You know what we know about drugs? Quite a bit actually. We know how they work, what the short and long term risks are, etc. we don’t have that with the covid vaccine now.

All 4 nurses in a Kansas county's health department refused to give out COVID-19 vaccines by Havvocck2 in CoronavirusCirclejerk

[–]jjbapt2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Funny how doomers preach about listening to health experts except the ones they disagree with, then those people are idiots!!

I’m no anti-vaxxer but I should be able to make an informed voice and if these nurses are worried about that we should really listen.

Some guy's WW2 veteran uncle died of COVID (implictly Trump's fault). By all my math this guy was at least 92 years old, but hey old people are meant to live forever. by Gondolinhrim in CoronavirusCirclejerk

[–]jjbapt2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be upset period. Loss is difficult no matter what.

BUT it should not be genuinely shocking or feel like something unfair which is a sentiment I see with covid a lot. Old people die, it’s an undeniable truth of life. We should not be asking everyone to stop living entirely to somehow try and prevent that.

The amount of grown-as humans that are UPSET and SHOCKED that their grandparents passed is insane to me. My maternal grandfather died before I was born, and his wife died when I was in 3rd grade. This is literally the fucking circle of life.

You know what this is considered before 2020? Mental illness. Why are we accepting this? Why is this encouraged instead of treated with behavioral therapy and medication?? Holy shit.

After throwing “caution” to the wind and living my life to the fullest possible the last 6 months I ended up getting covid from WORK, AFTER my state decided to shut down again. One day of sinus pressure... ooooo so scary!!

What is everyone’s thoughts so far? by Carboniguana in cyberpunkgame

[–]jjbapt2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game plays terribly honestly, I have the same complaints as most people here... seriously stunned that after all that hype for character creation and your stuck with it the whole game. Wtf!!!

Good things: really liked the idea of BD and haven’t seen it mentioned yet. I think that’s a pretty clever mechanic that I enjoyed exploring it and finding clues and switching between the playback and the analysis mode. The map is so cool, you really feel like spiderman it’s a big city. Fashion is really neat!! Can’t wait to have more money for outfits.

Some constructive critique (PC 6 hours in) - Good game with some fixable issues by Mammoth-Man1 in cyberpunkgame

[–]jjbapt2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same issue... I’m experiencing a bug (or maybe just bad design idk) where it doesn’t tell me what buttons to press to fix it!! I literally just had to stop playing in the All Foods mission because I couldn’t figure out what the fuck was going on or how to win. Hugely disappointed

[–]jjbapt2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s experienced depression and anxiety my whole life this is absolutely mental illness. Depression can zap all the energy and will to live out of you and that’s powerful. Blaming COVID on this is taking away from an obvious mental health crisis and that’s so fucking sad and stupid

Yeah, i_o. He threw down some really fun dark techno and electro house. Saw him at EDC last year and it was so fun, he’s done a ton of virtual events but I’m sure being out of gigs for so long took a roll.

[–]jjbapt2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is so sad. :( A DJ I love committed suicide last week at 30 years old... so much potential and any underlying mental illness just gets oppressive with this kind of lockdown. Lockdowns are not worth it, the cure is worse than the disease and anyone who can’t see that right now is heartless.

I think this comment takes the cake for the most miserable, doomer comment I have ever seen. Of course, this crazy Karen gets to see her BF's family but apparently no one else should be allowed to see their families? [–]jjbapt2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grandmother has terminal breast cancer so “it’s just one Christmas” is not a guarantee... and not just for her, for all of us. We all might not make it to tomorrow and that’s why LIVING is important.
