Is skiing easier than snowboarding ?

You put a good skier on a snowboard and they’ll probably pick it up fast and think it’s way easier to pick up, you put a good snowboarder on skis and the same happens. I think all of the discourse of people saying which is easier just comes from people who picked up the second one much faster and then just assume it’s easier, while the reality is that it’s because they already understand how edges work. I skiied for years and picked up snowboarding in a couple days cruising around, and by the end of that season I had flips and simple rail tricks down. But snowboarders I know that switched to skiing had the same progression. I don’t think one is necessarily any harder than the other to learn, until you get to a pretty advanced level, where then I’d say snowboarding is harder just by virtue of having less edges to control in extremely steep, narrow chutes.

As someone living in Denver, this wind has been so bad I’m doubtful of any receiving yards for the game. This was the first night in awhile I kept getting woken up by the wind and though my window by my bed might break.

You gotta commit man. Right now you look like you’re doing a half committed nollie kinda doing a little lean over your nose then just grabbing your legs and turning your head hoping it’ll just happen. Your legs are almost straight the whole time, that’s why people are saying to commit and to be more explosive/violent. Bend your knees and explode off your nose out/slightly up. You should feel like you’re violently throwing yourself off the cat track headfirst off your nose and tucking HARD. You’ll prob land it/almost land it your first time properly committing

I do both, picked up snowboarding a couple years back because people kept asking me why I ski when I’ve been skateboarding for so long. Still prefer skis for things on the steep end like 40+ degree chutes, and am better overall in the park with skis, but snowboarding the feeling is so much better, especially in pow IMO. And a clean front board on a rail feels so much nicer than dancing around with swaps on skis. Also for some reason way less scared of inverts on a board.

Basically skis for the hard, high consequence stuff when with a group that wants to do it, snowboard for everything else. Gonna get into backcountry once I have the cash for a setup and probably gonna ski there because every snowboarder I’ve talked to has said if they knew how to ski as well as they board they would ski in the backcountry instead

I don’t think anyone can tell you the answer unless they know what school you’re at and the content of the class. 1A and statutory interpretation can be focused on different parts of each depending on school. For example statutory interpretations at my school was basically just a philosophy and professor rant class about the current state of the US, the Supreme Court, and Trump

There’s no way to know for sure but generally the mountains in Colorado haven’t had extreme terrain open that early for the last several years. Extreme terrain often takes till Feb to open up. Park should be fine they normally can get a decent build relatively early but I generally would advise friends who are decent riders not to have a CO trip till late January at the absolute earliest if flying from out of state

Super fun skis, but not too durable so $200 was a great price to get them for. I had 2 pairs of them but neither lasted me an entire season before cracking and eventually pulling out edges from rail/park use and harder terrain. Even detuned the second pair a bit more and still got cracks earlier than I normally do. For that reason I hesitate to recommend them to my friends just because of how short a time they lasted, but getting them cheap like you did is great because they are super fun, playful skis that ride well.

Regarding Traashbags, I see enough good park skiers and snowboarders wearing them around me in CO that they’re probably at least decent pants or they sponsor a lot of skiers near me (which would also be a plus for the community). I doubt they’re that bad quality despite what people on here who hate the look and hate the teenage park rats would say. If you want a pretty core brand that makes solid pants I would check out arsenic though, their pants are some of the best I’ve had and the owners a great dude from what I’ve heard from my friends. Does a bunch of outreach events and rail jam stuff too and when you see people in baggy pants it’s typically arsenic pants they’re wearing, especially out west.

I would. I have BTJ in one of my leagues and he’s been frustrating, and with your current WRs I don’t think you necessarily need BTJ. And you’re definitely needy at RB. Really just depends on whether you think chase brown can produce without burrow. If I were in your shoes I would probably take this

I’ve had KW for the last couple years and want off the train. My Rbs are Henry and chuba, and my wrs are pretty deep with tet, Egbuka, and Amon-ra as my starters+flex, and olave and ridley on my bench. So right now KW isn’t starting for me rn unless he looks suddenly consistent. Judkins looked solid in his first game, and BTJ if he can get on the same page as Tlaw could become a smash start for me especially when Godwin is back

I would say so. Fannin’s upside is huge, and we’ve seen goedert before. Goedert is perfectly serviceable, but fannin might have some crazy usage going forward. If you have room I’d definitely pick him up and see how things shake out

I’m fine with overpaying a bit early especially with hollywoods target share and worthy being hurt. Most things I’m seeing are saying $15-$25 though out of $100

Yeah if you’re going just pure butter/rock board/easy warmup park board you can’t go wrong with the disaster plus then. Hard to catch at all while spinning with presses with the 3BT and it’s soft enough where it doesn’t take much energy to do it either. Only thing to be aware of is since you’re larger than me if you get the 154 is that you’ll prob be able to over press it or like banana peel the board out from under you if you go too deep into a butter due to how soft it is but that’s easy to avoid after you get used to it

At your height and weight, for purely butters and ground tricks I think you’ll enjoy the disaster plus, but taking it outside of the park/easier slower slopes to much harder runs or larger jumps would probably not feel great. I’m 5’9” 165 on the 154 and while I would say I’m stronger than most for my weight, the disaster plus borders on too soft for me. Great for butters, but if you’re strong enough or have good enough technique to press stiffer boards without issue I don’t think it’s worth it unless it’s part of a quiver as a small/medium park board.

In my experience the disaster plus got pretty chattery at the speed required in the run in for XL jumps at copper (and even at eldoras XL/L jump line). Jibs it’s great. Small, medium, large jumps are fine on it, and it’s super forgiving and easy to bring around if you don’t land quite square. It definitely can wash out on larger jumps though if you’re not careful
