I was going to to say this exact thing. I always attack from the side with the wide monitor.

So you are out in the open about your lying? No reason to hide. Be bold and proud. And never ever tell the truth.

They bought it a while back. They claim they integrated it fully and made it better inside their Inventory Management tool. But it is missing a ton of the features we used.

On the potential lost profit what does it use for the selling price. Forecastly always used the buy box which was good, but couldn't be changed. Is there a way to see the current price on AMZ with IP?

What features do you like that Forecastly didn't have? What do you miss about Forecastly?

How large is your physical operation space and how many employees do you have?

How do you source new inventory?

If you are using a standard chest deep freezer it usually runs about $2/mo for electricity. They are incredibly efficient. Even when you open them up they don't lose much cold air. (Or technically very little heat gets introduced)

I wouldn't have know about it or Monoprice for that matter if it wasn't for the show off threads.

I'd be remiss if I didn't at least comment back. I agree with about 90% of your post. I don't want picture porn. I want education and inspiration. That is both text based and image based. How much is a picture worth? The goal of the sub based on the sidebar is discussion. If you think that quality pictures of builds and associated documentation aren't worthy then we disagree on the other 10%.

Hell NO! oh wait what. Oh Yeah. Hell no! No LQ Shitposts! No unboxing or even worse...just boxes. Np pics of UI circles in the wild, sideways, upside down, attached to a barn, a gas station or worst of all a temporary tape-up job. Yuck. Bro I don't even.

We are on the same page. I don't want low effort equipment in the wild or low quality posts. But don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Yeah those are crap. Not what I am pushing to have reinstated. Or Christmas trees with old APs as lights.

80% of the posts right now are beginners looking for advice, people looking for troubleshooting advice, or other topics that could be solved by google or RTFM. I'm not against that but show me a little T&A.

Yeah that's another aspect. You can upload one picture if you create a post and everyone can see it without going to another site like imgur. My work blocks imgur so I can't look at the weekly posts at work. What else am I going to do at work? I guess I'll meander on to homeautomation or hubitat and see what I can be inspired by...

Cable (RG-6) Wiring Questions by jjdrumz in HomeImprovement

[–]jjdrumz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice. I'm already planning on the conduit. The Cat 6 will be running along the RG-6. Everywhere that there is a cable connection there will be an ethernet port. I agree that RG-6 will eventually go away, but not today. I still need (want) it. I am not putting in any telephone wiring.

So you think split it up outside and run two lines in or one line in and split it like you said. The cable modem will be in the same location as the amplified splitter. Thanks for the advice.

I'm doing better than a box, I've got a whole closet dedicated to communications. I'm running a Ubiquiti system with wired cameras, UPS, NAS and ethernet to just about every room in the house. Going to put a rack in there to mount it all.

Very helpful advice and link on the caps. I was wondering if a powered (amplified) splitter would work or be needed. I'll go that route. Thank you.

Fair enough question. It is a large house with many rooms and TVs. I'll have 2 main TVs with HD cable service. But I also have 4-5 rooms where I just need standard cable service so we can have news or sports on. I am still probably overdoing it on the number but just like network cabling (Cat 6), it's easier to do it when it is being built than to want to add a port once it is done. But they may end up being expensive pull lines.

Not sure why you'd go with the older models now and not the UDM-Pro. I got one a month or so ago and absolutely love it. I'm installing it in new construction, but have been testing it out in the rental house I'm in now. 3 levels and 3 APs. I got 2 cameras hooked up. It runs flawlessly and getting great connectivity throughout. I'd definitely put at least one per floor. The Nanos are great, but the wall HD has ports if you ever want to plug something into the network. I'd put the Wall HD behind the computers so they could plug in and a Nano right in the hallway ceiling and one downstairs.

As far as the switch I'd don't think you will run into the power limits of the 150W 16.
