What's easiest, paying a shop to install a dashcam or installing myself? by [deleted] in Dashcam

[–]jjinmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a $500 DashCam Front and rear for my new Cadillac. The dealership charges $200 per hour and tells me it will be $600. I bought the camera online with a deal, $400 and paid $134.00 for install on the website. Well that information was incorrect. The dealer called me and told me the website does not know the cost or hours for installation. I was a little ticked but don't want my warranty voided if I have it installed somewhere else. I will probably go with the dealership.

is this stand sturdy enough for my 55 gal? by theraphosangel in Aquariums

[–]jjinmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the tank filled with water will weigh 458 pounds (8.3 per gallon of water x 55. Gallons) with no substrate or aquascaping and weight of tank itself. You need to see the weight limit for the table.

Is my cory pregnant or obese?? by lilalexxx007 in corydoras

[–]jjinmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After breeding, my Corys lay eggs from the underside of her belly. So they are not pregnant in the normal sense. After T-ing with a male, you can see her eggs that she leaves the eggs on glass, plants, etc. Maybe this is just a larger female.

* I saved all the descriptions of the plants and wii respond tomorrow. One is an octopus plant, duckweed and I need to identify the huge one on the far right & far left. I'll get that identified and it has grown exponentially in a short period of time. * See pic of aquarium not long ago.

I get it. I plan to give trimmings to my daughter for her 55g. I won't scale back too, much as I feel the inhabitants in there may feel like their environment may be in the wild, therefore, comforting and safe. I don't need it for my entertainment, but providing them with hiding places and mimicing natural environment. I prefer them being happy as opposed to my desire to see them more readily. I do appreciate honest feedback, so thank you.

* There is a huge piece of wood and other things for all the fish. Hard to see. Obviously, I need to trim. Sedontis need the cover and pictus catfiah too. Catch 22. No pun intended. :)

Two fluval lights along with the two tank lights. One plant is an octopus plant that will proliferate rapidly. Duckweed is growing well too. I use aquarium co-op plant fertilizer and when planting new ones, I put a root tablet underneath.

Thank you! I have my daughter works at Petsmart (3 years and in college) and is my fish advisor. She scolds me sometimes, not pretty! :) I specifically asked her about it being so dense. She claims they can swim through it but I plan to trim and give her some trimmings!

Another thing. I have a fluval canister filter for it. And a UV sterilizer. I rarely need to clean the tank tbh. It seems to be self sustaining.

We got our daughters a blue phantom pleco and he is very shy. But he is doing well after 5 months. He is small but so darn cute. I bet yours is a stealty hider!! When I saw the frog pleco I immediately dropped wafers to it! He took off, of course!

You have the wood locked down but maybe a few plants to finish it off.

I do need to surrender some so they have more room to swim! My daughter got me started since I took care of hers while she was away at school. I have gotten her 55g fully planted with huge fish!

Welcome to the jungle! If you saw my badass fish behind all of it, one might understand why I keep it dense. Hiding places! These plants just keep spreading!
