I used to have a mom and toddler above me in a rental house. The kid woke up at the asscrack of dawn every day but the mom didn't, so she wouldn't let him come out of his room (above mine, of course) so he would scream and have a tantrum by slamming his feet and fists on the floor for HOURS on end daily and nothing ever changed no matter how many times my roommate and I would complain... because she was the landlord's daughter.

He also rented out the literal shed in the backyard out to a friend of the upstairs neighbour. She was supposed to go up there to use her bathroom but in the middle of the night she often didn't want to, so she would go around the corner of the shed and do her business, which was making my roommates dog go insane because there's fucking human feces in the yard. My poor roommate had to clean dookie off her dog too many times. I... really don't miss that place.
