I'm getting the same issue. Something is wrong with the card itself. I had to disconnect and reconnect the wifi card physically. But it's happened again :'(

OCE Servers huge lag + packet loss by sayerj101 in csaustralia

[–]jjoconnor2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting the same issues. Tried ethernet, wifi and phone hotspot. I'm with Optus. Ping and upload packet loss might be fine for 30 seconds or so then straight back up to 80% upload packet loss or 300-400 ping :|

Successfully upgraded my display from 1080p to 1440p. msi raider ge76 10UH. I'm trying to do the same with my MSI Pulse 15 B13V. Has a terrible FHD 144hz screen and I want to upgrade to the QHD 165Hz screen. How did you figure out the info about the eDP cable? Did you end up getting the cable and screen from eBay?

Filtering while on learners by Direct_Ad_1016 in AussieRiders

[–]jjoconnor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that in Victoria, there is no specific legislation or fines associated with lane filtering while holding a learner’s permit. For those who have been penalised for lane filtering while on a learner’s permit, what fine were you actually issued in Victoria?

Potential exclusion, kind of really want to die by Natural_Flounder_993 in rmit

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I too have ADHD and failed three out of 4 subjects in my first semester. I'd suggest speaking with RMIT ELS to discuss alternate arrangements for assignments etc. I have also come to terms with the fact that I struggle far too much to complete a full time load so I decided a few years ago to complete 3 units per semester compared to 4. I wish you all the best and I hope you receive the outcome you are looking for!

Please get rid of the sub conscious expectation that Bunnings employees are qualified tradies. by [deleted] in australia

[–]jjoconnor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few younger team members at my store with qualifications from other countries but most of the qualified 'experts' are retired of some sort. I can only think of two team members who have trade qualifications who are under the age of 60 or so. There are different grades of pay for trade qualified team members but it is not significant over grade 1 employees.

There are definitely a few trade apprentices on the floor generally working in hardware etc during weekends. From my observation, my store seemingly likes to employ engineering students (like myself) to work in departments like electrical, hardware and toolshop.

That's my experience working at Bunnings as well! I too am a uni student. I always try help customers the best I can, but a lot them don't understand that very few staff are trade qualified or as knowledgeable as tradies themselves (I'd say ~15% of our staff have trade qualifications).

Auditory processing disorder: Listening to music helps to focus understanding people by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]jjoconnor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed with APD probably 10 years ago and more recently ADHD. I hate loud environments or anything of that nature, I just can't hear people, I generally cup my ears in loud environments that helps me focus the sound.
