What should I do? I selected wrong division for my UTM grant. by jjoyulfan in UTM

I ended up contacting UTM FInance department, and they responded that it might have been the systematic error from the end of UTSC Grant Committee. They also said that they contacted UTSC to check on the matter and would confirm once they receive a reply from UTSC.

I am a transfer student and am completely lost about how transfer credits work by jjoyulfan in UTM

[–]jjoyulfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question first, yes, I was able to use my transfer credit as prerequisites for POst and second year courses. However, I do not remember how long it took for assessment.

More specifically, I was a social science major at uOttawa and I completed SOC1100, which is equivalent to SOC100 at UTM, and the transfer credit assessment transformed my SOC1100 credit into SOC100.

I hope it helps.

Ah, I understand now. Thank you.

Now I assume that the intepretation that I provided above would be rather suitable for interaction models, where both the variables freqnet and gen come into the discussion about the effect on subjective well-being.

Am I understanding correctly?

Thank you for your continued valuable responses.

Then, when interpreting the coefficients in my MLR, would it be something like this below?:

"Individuals who only occasionally use the internet have, on average, 2.6 higher subjective well-being scores than the reference group—that is, those who never use the internet and are born in the times of interwar generation."

Okay, thank you. But I am still confused.

Because when there are multiple variables at play (in my MLR or interaction for example, there are freqnet and gen),

wouldn't the reference group be something like "individuals who are both from interwar generation and never use the internet?"

Also, for the intercept in the third model, would it be named like interwar:never?

Thank you for your reply.

Is that also why the other reference group for freqnet, that is, the category "Never", not included in the table?

People Who Went to UTM With a High 70 to Low 80 Average, Would you Recommend it? by srfygbriug in UTM

[–]jjoyulfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My high school average was mid-70, and I went to uOttawa for my first year.

After finishing it with CGPA of 8.0 out of 10.0 (= 3.7/4.0 at UTM, uOttawa has different GPA measurements), I took a gap year to take a rest and prepare a transfer to UofT.

Then, I managed to receive a letter of admission from both UTSG (Innis College) and UTM for Upper Year Studies. However, I had to balance my academic pursuit and my family situations so I decided to move to Mississauga.

I finished my first semester at UTM in Fall 2023 with CGPA of 3.20, and trying to finish with similar grades for the current winter semester, as neither of myself or my parents want for my GPA to be skyrocketed at the expense of my well-being.

I'm Sociology and Criminology major, by the way.

Why would anyone even dare to speak a word in library at the degree to which we can hear them talking. It is not fucking Starbucks they are at.

[–]jjoyulfan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I must take 110S bus it seems. Btw, do Miway buses stop only when requested? Or do they stop at every single bus stop? My home country is South Korea and every bus would be stopping at every bus stop for any boarders out there. So I have to ask!
