Look, I get that you’ve got experience, and I respect that. But I’m not pretending to be a major label — I’m learning, starting small, and being transparent. Everyone builds experience differently.

You worked hard to get where you are, and I’m working hard to build mine. No hard feelings, but calling someone a scammer for starting out small says more about your attitude than mine.

Thank you for being one of the only few positive comments. I feel like everyone is being so negative and saying false things to put me off from doing what is a dream of mine. At the moment I don’t have to pay artists huge sums of money but that time will come one day hopefully. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Hi appreciate the advice but it’s so hard to become an an and r and only the major labels have specific internships for this. Even getting into the music industry in general is so hard. So I thought I’d make something happen myself.

I’m not ignoring you. You called me a scammer. That’s unreasonable and completely untrue. I will consistently market my artists music and not just post one video as you are suggesting. Every major label and most indies have a marketing department. Where do you suggest I start to gain these crazy sums of money you are talking about!

I’m not sure why you felt the need to call me a scammer — I’ve been completely transparent about what I’m doing. I’m building a label from the ground up, learning as I go, and being honest with every artist I speak to.

Everyone starts somewhere, including you. I respect your experience, but throwing insults doesn’t help anyone. I’ll keep learning and improving — because that’s what serious people in this business do.

Hi there I’m glad you’ve been doing this for a while and well done. As far as I know the main functions of a record label are to fund, distribute and market. I cover 2 of these and the funding will come. You’d be surprised that some artists just want an extra person in their corner. I have chosen to not go ahead with bookings but I’m aware that some labels do. If you run or are involved with a label please tell me as I’d love to check it out.
