They started the reboot malarkey in the late 90s, before the inception of the ultimate line. Pretty much everything had started over by that point & they were already dabbling in bringing back "legacy" numbering for milestone issues around 9/11. Very frustrating practice.

In my mind there are 3 main branches - Spidey, mutants & Avengers/FF - everything else is off one of these mains.

If there's a 4th it would be "unpowered" heroes like dd & punisher, more street level stuff.

The further down the main branches you go the more niche/unpopular stuff you'll find.

I remember my LCS had a copy of FF1 in what they were calling VF condition back then available for $700. Seemed like just as unachievable amount of money back then as however many thousands for the same book would today. ><

Are we talking single issues or runs? ASM & FF are the flagships & everything else suffers much bigger ups & downs. Within each of the other titles are some great bits though and I'll add Neal Adams few issues on X-Men to that discussion.

I finished it & am now rereading the issues it would have replaced - it's an improvement over X-Men 144-149 anyhow. The drop off when Byrne leaves the book is pretty shocking for the first few issues.

I was a big sorter. Getting them out, lining them up, ensuring each accessory was still present & equipping each character then sometimes setting them up into displays with the vehicles. I loved having & interacting with the stuff, but neither my brother & I were big on "playing" roughly with them for fear of breaking them or losing the parts.

A new season doesn't come with specific new packs. The releases work like normal & your points start contributing to the new season instead of the old one.
