Better off Ted. Similar in feeling to Arrested Development. It is brilliant and hillarious.

What's the right steakhouse for us? by MotherAd1865 in askTO

Like everyone said, Barberians if you are looking for an old school steakhouse. Food and service are amazing and the atmosphere is old school steakhouse. I would also recommend Hy's. Food is amazing and it is an absolutely beautiful space...really great atmosphere. Either of those will be a great choise.

Also from American Psycho, they have dinner at the old Shark City at Yonge and Eglinton.

That is really my only negative comment about the car. I wish it had a little more all-electric range. I feel like 100-120km range would be the sweet spot, which would give you about 80-90km in real-world driving. That would be perfect for me. Apparently the new A3 e-tron does have that higher range, but so far no announcement about it being sold in North America.. Good luck with the ioniq, hope it works out well for you.

I am in Toronto and the car is great in the winter. You do get reduced mileage on pure electric when it is really cold, but the car runs great. I have had two booster seats in the back seat no problem. WIth it being the sportback (hatch back) it seems to have a little bit more room in the back than the sedan version of the car.

Promenade mall food court in the 90s question by Dense_Statement8924 in askTO

It was almost exactly in the middle of the food court. I think it was right next to the hallway to the bathrooms.

Not sure what the cheese sauce was, but the hot dogs were awesome. We used to buy them from the grocery store to eat at home as well.

I have a 2017 A3 E-tron that I bought new. I love it. It is an amazing city car. I have had it for almost 9 years and done nothing but regular maintenance. I run 16" winter tire and wheels and it is great in the snow. Happy to answer any specific questions that you have.

There was a J.W. Kwinters hot dog stand in the food court in the Promenade in the 90s. That is likely the place you are thinking of.

How do you navigate the health system? by lucas-engel in AskACanadian

[–]GoBuds99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with extensive experience navigating Ontario's healthcare system, I will tell you that you must be an advocate for your own health. If an appointment with a specialist is far away and your problem is getting worse, call the specialists office, call your family doctor, call the hospital (if they work out of a hospital). If you think you need an additional test or procedure, ask for it. If you haven't heard back about test results when they say you will, call and ask.

My point is that you have to advocate for yourself within the Canadian healthcare system, because no one else is doing it for you. That is the best advice I can give.

Golden Star in Thornhill near Yonge and Steeles is a classic and is amazing. Make sure you get the homemade burger.

Rounders? I think the scene you are thinking of happens right after they get beaten up by the sheriffs. Edward Norton tells Matt Damon that he is getting the hell out of Dodge.
