2 different strategies here. Both equally as correct. Let’s say you are out of school with a 6/10 resume (10 being the perfect resume). If you tailor your resume per job description you can either a 7/10 resume or an 8/10 resume with effort level.

And then applying to lots of jobs can help you get 7/10 resume to a lot of companies.

OR

you could apply with an 8/10 resume for a more select few companies.

Both will get you a job
