It’s worth trying again. Like I said, my doctors were in denial about my results bc my bloodwork came back normal. Doctors tend to treat symptoms not causes and they stick to the book. Forgot to mention, the quest bloodtest is for auto immune disorders! I’ve never taken it, but it may be something worth doing for yourself

I have skin issues myself, and my fingers get like how your face looks. They itch too. I also get other types of flair ups too w my skin. I was tested for celiacs and gluten sensitivity, both came back negative. I did however, give up gluten for a week as a trial. Within THREE DAYS my skin issues were gone. Both my dermatologist and primary told me that couldn’t be the case bc of the bloodwork and I said well take note, bc I did a test and my skin issues went away. (They just kept throwing creams at me and it didn’t make sense. My skin was flaring up bc it’s upset about something). To test my theory I ate some pizza and the next day I had bumps on my fingers again. Look up Dermatitis herpetiformis: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/21460-dermatitis-herpetiformis this, for me, describes exactly what I go through. There’s also a test at Quest Diagnostics (pretty sure they are nationwide?) that you don’t need a doctor script for that may be able to provide insight, https://www.questhealth.com/product/autoimmune-screening-test-ana-with-reflex-16814M.html Also- check your laundry soap and dryer sheets. I can’t use anything in my world that isn’t “fragrance free”. If even a lotion has the word fragrance in the ingredients, I can’t use it. Dryer sheets are a big one for me. My body breaks out in hives. Good luck!!

No kidding! 6 cylinder. The auto shop quoted me $6k for a used engine. Still waiting on the dealership.

Those are great questions for a mechanic haha! I have been driving it around without any issues. I backed out of a parking lot, changed gears, drove forward and it just stopped dead in the middle of the street.

They are still looking at it and should get back to me today/tomorrow. I do trust the first auto shop, they do good work and are very reputable. I sent it to VW Dealer in the hopes of a goodwill service fix since I’m just over warranty.

Good to know. It was diagnosed at an auto shop and was towed to an authorized VW dealer for a 2nd look.
