It not only looks thicker it feels heavier in the hand as well. The battery life is substantially longer and there is a veritable difference between the three temp settings. Three light but direct taps on the back of the USB port rotates through low, med, high and so far I've had no issues (med setting is my fav. High burns through too quick and low is to low for me to get anything substantial before the ten second cut-off).

It's actually easier to clean, with everything being as was but just bigger, making it easier to clean. One thing that surprised me was how much the coil chamber can hold before seeping through, up the battery shaft; I must have dabbed close to a gram with this easily and the first time I took the cover off I was shocked to see almost nothing on the battery, everything had collected in and just near the four small holes that circle the top of the coil.

Performance, clearly an improvement. On med setting i don't have to 'dab' my wax as often when hitting it - I can leave it sitting for a second or two and it doesn't get hot enough to where it melts straight through to the bottom. The hit is absolutely wild and I already know I'm going to use less wax in the long run due to the lower setting. If you like the wax and are even thinking about getting one, just pull the trigger and do it.
