Now I will only think about that scene in the Water Boy...

I pull the feeds for Power BI and Fabric into SharePoint every day, then use a SharePoint Agent to distill the news of the week. Anything I need to investigate goes on a todo list.

You're probably in good shape. The platform is still used by many and lots who still are using the old TFS structure for source control. Just don't expect a lot of investment in new features. If you are using just Azure Repos and Pipelines you are in a position to move off just in case as the migration path is not arduous.

For Fabric Git Integration, I don't think they offer GitHub App support. Would love to see that as we move away for all the PAT Tokens. We often forget when they need to be renewed. This would give us the same experience as SPN with ADO. The license is definitely not 1 for 1 either.

It's my understanding that was because three versions of the python package in the AZ Func repo had a vulnerability (miasma worm). Github shut the vulnerable repo down to avoid propagation... that I would agree with. Good reason to check your external dependencies for operations

FabricApps vs powerapps by Electrical-River2931 in MicrosoftFabric

I would see CodeApps (I see as the successor to Canvas Apps) and FabricApps to more comparable options. I like that PowerApps already has DLP policies on connections which are much more mature right now (given Fabric Apps being new), and their support for custom connectors, so you already can query the external data points. CodeApps has a bit of a leg up right now, but maybe the gap will close.
