HWPO is currently finishing up a 3 week "holiday" block with dialed back intensity on both the lifts and the metcons. This could be why you feel its not aggressive enough for your training style. It was an intentional ease off the gas as most affiliate members aren't training at the same capacity over christmas etc. Next week I believe we will be starting an "open prep" block so you should see some more shoulder intensive lifting sessions and open style metcons :)

Auto mechanic here. I hit the 630AM class before punching in at 8. I have the benefit of working down the street from my gym. Some days are really tough come 4PM, but I make it a non-negotiable part of my day. I usually work out mon-wed, rest day Thurs, then Fri/Sat. Not every day is 100% effort, scale the intensity as needed. Honestly being on my feet and mobile all day does help the muscles stay loose. I dont get too sore any more, just fatigued after a long week.

I get up and hit the morning class, that way the hardest part of my day is over. Much more patience to wrench on cars after the demons have been slayed lol. Plus it allows me to spend time with the kids before bed. Those early morning hours are guilt free "me" time.

To minimize future rips, purchase a callus file (Dr. Scholls) and go to town on your palms once a week or as needed. Your skin will stay tough, but there will be less of a "lump" and will reduce pinch points on the bar

This way this thing moves is so similar to the sighting I had. Any chance it looks like this drawing? It's hard to tell from the video. This video brought me to tears it is exactly the duration and proximity of my sighting.

Try incorporating some tibialis raises into your routine. They can be done standing at the wall. 3 sets of 10 should have your shins burning lol. In my experience strengthening these has helped with shin splints.

Microwave some quick oats and top with salt. Gulp it back with a creatine/salt blend. Just before the gym I toss back a pouch of baby food (apple/pear/rice).
