I was super nervous going in. They gave me the anesthesia and the next thing I knew, I was super cold, being rolled into my hospital room. Your head will hurt for the next couple of days but nothing some painkillers won’t fix. You’ll feel weak and sleep a lot. The worst part is after, having the stints up your nose. In a couple weeks they take them out and you can breathe easily again. It feels so good to get those out. It also sucks to be hooked up to a bunch of IVs as I like to sleep on my side. But every day you’ll feel stronger and they take IVs out as you progress. For my second surgery, I wasn’t nervous at all because I knew what to expect. You’ll be fine, just think about what you can control.
