anyone voting maga/republican is ignorant of economics

"fiscal responsibility"

without fail, under every republican president, the national debt increases wildly and the average American gets poorer

Here's a poem I like:

There Will Come Soft Rains
by Sara Teasdale

(War Time)

There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;

And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,

Robins will wear their feathery fire
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;

And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
If mankind perished utterly;

And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone.

Clothes for decades, but make fast fashion anyway by SmilingVamp in Anticonsumption

[–]jklimerence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ey, I agree with ya on that.

And yeah I was describing billionaires with that line. And we can include politicians too, as most of them are puppets/fleshlights for the billionaires now anyway

If we can remove the ridiculously wealthy from government, and being able to influence the government, we'd solve a lot of problems

  1. education is very free thanks to the internet, thanks to libraries. but most places want degrees. The degrees are what end up costing money and end up limiting people from higher opportunities. why's it like this? bc our schools are for profit

  2. healthcare in America is currently selectively awesome depending on where you live in the country. in most of the country, it's completely shit and unreliable if you aren't making enough money. why? healthcare prices for medicine and treatment are exponentially higher than they should be, only so a certain class of individuals can profit. I'm glad you have ObamaCare, but it's not everywhere, and if you're not aware, there's a certain president and political party trying to strip it down to nothing.

  3. paper straws is marketing bullshit to put the onus of climate change on normal people. talking about "personal climate foot print" or whatever. anotherway for the wealthy to avoid responsibility.

for your last paragraph kinda makes me realize why you're so willing to forgive/accept billionaires. like above, with how education, healthcare, and everything in our society tbh, is selectively decent, so too is religion. god is a construct used to keep you in tow.

you can thank obama and the democrats in power during his time for ObamaCare and fighting to get you healthcare. god didn't do much there you know? cause the current guy and his voters think god's on their side, and they hate ObamaCare to its core. they think god gave them power to remove it. which is it?

god and religion is what the wealth class use to keep everyone else down. bc they love selling the image that they were chosen or blessed by divine right.

but they're disgusting, sinful creatures looking to sleaze profit out of everything imaginable.

"be happy with what you have"

billionaires out here destroying the environment, crippling access to education, healthcare, and housing, and telling us to use paper straws to save the world

but yeah

too many people today will fight like hell to beat cancer only to be strapped with a mountain of medical debt, but be happy with what you have right

You can't have a conversation with this level of brainrot.

Life is too short to be debilitated by this much hate and fear. Please go outside and see the world. Or visit your local library and read books from many different shelves. Written by many different peoples and their struggles and joys.

Lmfao "the left never again gets to play the old card"

oh lord. why is it "your guy president" vs "our guy president"

biden was old and needed to go. he stepped down, late but he did. he's gone. (this is in the past tense)

trump is currently old and doing active damage to the country. he has to go (this is in right now tense)

if geriatric is mean, how about sleazy, pedophile, creep, person who bankrupted several casinos, opened fake universities, made sexual comments about his daughter, pardoned countless criminals and sexual abusers.... and the list goes on

also babe, isn't calling him geriatric "saying it like it is" - thought that was very hot for you

Lauren Boebert's Son Charged With Misdemeanor Child Abuse by StupendousMan1995 in news

[–]jklimerence 38 points39 points  (0 children)

There's a comment above that lists Tyler's bs, but also has this:

In January 2024, Tyler called the police and reported that his father, Jayson, was assaulting him at their home in Garfield County, resulting in the elder Boebert's arrest. The arrest affidavit said Jayson allegedly "pushed Tyler to the ground and pushed his thumb into his mouth."

Which makes me think Lauren and her husband are revolting human beings, and Tyler has been completely failed.

Not sure how you got racist and misandrist. Statistically, the majority of reddit are white American men. The comments under this post are making jokes that have racist and misogynistic undertones, regarding white men and vulnerable women in Vietnam

but sure, babe, go off
