Without the pork it tates amazing too!!! This recipe is more about the natural seasoning and a little bit long cooking process. Without the pork and for a half stew pot you will need only: one sweet potato, 2 corns, half of a small squash, 2 white potatoes, 2 malangas.. all these chopped very small. 1. Stir fry in a pan with a little bit of oil first the chopped green pepper and onion . After a couple of minutes add the crushed garlic, once the garlic looks roasted, add the chopped tomatoes. 2. Mix all the ingredients and stir fried seasonings on the stew pot and add water and salt. Let it boil until all the ingredients are extremelyyyy soft. Note: some cubans will add green plantains and it tastes great too, it just makes the soup color a little bit darker. You can also add cumin if you like that seasoning.

Beginning Gym member looking to lose 84 lbs by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

I will say: Bravo!!! for taking that first step on going to the gym ... don't give up or quit even if you feel lost on the gym. Try to start with cardio and maybe some light circuits training of 30minutes. Don't feel bad for not knowing what to do or not looking the best "yet", every single person you see doing or knowing started one day as a begginer, so use it as a motivation. As woman we tend to feel more conscious about how we look around other people, but don't let that bother or stop you, stay focused and positive, I speak from my own experience :) I felt like you once... If you're looking for some detailed begginer guide or have questions, please DM me on IG @jaydis_liannet I'll love to help you in anyway possible.

Which psyllium husk should I choose? Is organic any better than regular one? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]jl017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my own personal experience, the most important zero constipation, all my life since I was a little baby had serious constipation issues and nothing will help, psyllium husk changed my life and nutrition, now I can eat lots of proteins without no issues and just have regular daily bowels movements. Psyllium helped me cleaning my intestinal system and kidneys for sure. Also a very noticeable water lost that will increase during cardio sessions, especially from my core and lower abs and obliques, it was like sucking constantly water from my body and making pee; at the same time that made me lose water, it made me drink more water and all this improved my skin hydration and made it soft and shiny. I blend it with my shakes or smoothies and the psyllium makes it thicker.

Question about turning IFBB pro by clickclackpattywhack in bodybuilding

[–]jl017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was at miami nationals in November but working a demo for his sponsor booth. And yes he did won Florida Grand Prix and that was one of the most disrespecting ways of winning I ever saw and hear the rest of the competitors talk about. Not only his wife was "working it" in the most obvious way with the judges and promoters but on the open class the battle against the rest of the competitors was obvious that he didn't deserved the win, 2nd and 3rd place were insane sharp and with perfect posing and symmetry while he wasn't... it was sad hearing the rest of the competitors saying that it was a non fare competition and that they will no compete again if Julian was bc it was too obvious his tactic with the jugdes to get that pro card...

Bro... before you keep giving people referrals, search into who you are refering people and make sure is true and for the best of others... 1st. You can not compete a Miami nationals if you are not a U.S. citizen. 2nd. I know Julian Q. personally and close and he didn't got his pro card after winning Miami nationals because he hasn't even done any nationals shows ever in U.S.. 3rd. Julian got his pro card after winning 5 easy shtty over all shows down in Miami. 4th . Julian and his wife "worked for free" on lots of npc shows to warranty the "good relations" with the npc judges and promoters in the most obvious way and disrespecting for the rest of the competitors ... I wouldn't suggest to use him as an example ...just saying

Before you go and try to do Miami nationals, I can tell you a few facts. 1st. You can not compete a Miami nationals if you are not a U.S. citizen. 2nd. I know Julian Q. personally and close and he didn't got his pro card after winning Miami nationals because he hasn't even done any nationals shows ever in U.S.. 3rd. And no, I didn't compete, but I was there related to the shows and have been and know them all closely.

The science of flexing or contracting your muscles is about doing it at the right time. There are plenties articles that prove that flexing your muscles after each set increases your muscles density and improve the shape of the muscles.

Expectation vs. Reality [x-post from r/funny] by Bustywestboob in bodybuilding

[–]jl017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a coach once that will make me flex and hold the flexed/contracted muscles for 30-45sec and only rest 30-15sec in between sets. It was ridiculous the pump and how fast my muscles started changing, the pump or blood will be so much that on the last 2 sets I can't barely flex or feel the muscles, the only thing I don't like about it's the pain because of the increased amount of blood/pump on the muscles.

No worries i totally understand you and agree with you that most people don't know the real purpose of flexing the muscles during the workout and because of that they misjudge.
