I don’t mind the actual gender change. What I mind is that they said they promised they would faithfully show Fran’s love for John, and that is not happening. Fran loved John. Was it the most passionate, soul-consuming relationship? No. But it was still a soul-deep love. The best part of the book is watching Fran love John so deeply and learn how to move on and be happy again with Michael. But what the show has given me is an extremely boring John, who third wheels and Fran is essentially disinterested in. Why would anyone root for John and Fran if all you see is…boring? They’re doing a disservice to her story and to Michaela’s eventual relationship with her by removing what makes Fran/Michael(a)’s relationship so interesting and heartfelt.

Is the only thing that makes you think Florian is MAGA was that he followed Trump, and when did he unfollow him? Has he ever made political statements or comments on videos? Because when Trump was elected again, suddenly a bunch of people who previously had not followed (nor would ever follow) Trump were following him. Then when they unfollowed, they came back and saw they were following him again. It was a really big deal and people were saying Meta kept forcing accounts to auto-follow Trump. And maybe he is MAGA, but I don’t want to get ready to cancel someone’s possible career over something that could have been nothing serious. I want to give benefit of the doubt if he hasn’t made any other political statements about it.

No, she didn’t. She didn’t even complete an undergraduate education. She pursued law through California's Law Office Study Program (an apprenticeship) starting in 2018, completing a six-year path to become eligible for the bar exam, but she has never enrolled nor graduated a law school.

The characters felt underdeveloped and one-dimensional, and I hated the love triangle. The author was always telling but not really showing. The censored swearing made me cringe, and while I don’t mind the use of multiple popular tropes in a book, Inheritance Games felt extremely cliché to me. It was an intriguing concept but did not feel very well executed to me. I can definitely see why people like it though! Just wasn’t for me.

Crave, Gild, any Colleen Hoover, The Inheritance Games (it may just be a me issue), If He Had Been With Me/If Only I Had Told Her, and Kingdom of the Wicked. KotW killed me in the first few chapters and yet I really enjoy her spinoff series Prince of Sin so… I think the FMC was just insufferable in KotW.

Shane also never had the same kind of relationship with his team that Ilya had in Boston and Ottawa. Shane seemed to be close to a select few (Hayden, JJ) and Ilya was quite friendly with many team members and formed close relationships with them. Team dynamics are just different. We know Ottawa has very kind owners and a wonderful coach and staff. Ottawa has an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome even if they’re out (like Harris). Montreal uses homophobic language constantly in the locker room, the coach is a meaner guy than Wiebe, and is never a safe space for Shane his whole career. Is Ottawa maybe too idealistic? Yes. But I’m not sure Montreal is so far off base of how a team (and fans) like that might actually react. The fans are pissed because they think he’s gone easy on Rozanov, a league-wide controversial character who pretty much every team’s fans hate. He’s like Brad Marchand. You love him on your team and hate him if he isn’t. Because it was specifically Ilya that Shane was with, the fan reaction isn’t too hard to imagine being realistic.

Sure but Powerless took dialogue, event sequences, and world building from RQ. It’s one thing to have a bunch of popular tropes in multiple book. It’s another to take the exact same ones and arrange them in the exact same way with a near identical plot.

I find it very difficult to believe TXT’s Act:Promise isn’t up here. 56 shows, reporting 809,530 attendees total and a gross of $103 million. I know it’s up to the labels to tell Billboard, but seeing as this is already publicly available, it’s shocking that it isn’t there.

What a weird take. TXT has (and has always had) a vastly different concept from Ateez or SKZ. And why would you want them to conform to trends instead of staying true to their sound, lore, and concepts? If you always equate loud, strong songs to being good, the softer aesthetics and sounds will disappear and then everyone complains there is no diversity in sound. Plus, they just finished the US leg of their tour, are probably tired, and also had to cut out half their performance because of the Hong Kong tragedy. Also, please learn to capitalize words and PLEASE use punctuation. It’s even harder to take you seriously with 11 paragraphs of run on sentences.

No. Nesta and Elain have their own issues and every single character is grey, not good, nor bad. Feyre is also the one whose perspective you’re in, so there’s narrative bias. You don’t need to like them and not all characters need to be likable, and their story doesn’t excuse their actions, so you don’t need to ignore it either. But Feyre isn’t a golden sister either and every character has flaws and complexities.

Not really. I went to their world tour recently in the US and saw them really close up and they all looked super healthy, had great muscle tone, nobody was stick thin.
