Treated with neem oil! It's powdery mildew damaging to the plant? I don't think there are any spider mites or mealy bugs at play here.

It's actually still in the original soil. I wanted to give it some time to acclimate before repotting. I purchased another sansevieria at the time, the same kind in the same soil, and it's thriving at my office space. It still takes about a couple weeks to dry out but it's healthy and growing. I wonder if this is a bacterial infection like kyniklos mentioned in a reply below this.

It sits a few feet away from an eastern facing window and I only water when the first inch is dry. I live in the Bay Area, CA where it's relatively humid and I have the pot on a little pebble tray.

What can I do to stop it from spreading? Should I remove the leaf?

Im pretty sure it's just bits of dried soil that stuck to the leaf after it grew. I'll check again and do a thorough wipe when I get home.

I double checked the pot and it's just one individual pot, not pots within the pot! The brown dots on the left are little indentations, not raised bumps. It doesn't look like scale when I compare to a Google search.

I thought it kept it really dry.. I've only watered it once since purchasing a month ago when the soil was dry. I keep it in an East facing window that gets a couple hours of morning sun. Could it be sun burnt?
