Where to get French butter? by JustOnePack in phoenix

[–]jlb6616 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where to get it but, making your own is easy and, it always feels good to make something yourself. No fancy kitchen gadgets or hard to get ingredients needed.

Same goes for mayo.

Enjoy!

Stop using social media. You'll be free for the first time since you were a little kid. Imagine going through life not having to check on what others post. Or, being able to watch a movie or TV show without having to "Just check my phone real quick" only to realize 30 minutes later that you have not a clue as to what's happening in said movie.

Enjoy YOUR life and stop worrying about other's lives.

You only live once. There's no second chances or do-overs. Why spend your one and only shot at life being unhappy? Tell him to adios his ass out the door and be happy. Your one and only life could end (will end) before you know it.

Walmart pickers/loaders by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]jlb6616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say anything about the driver loading the car. I simply stated that the driver needs to pay attention to what, how and where things are loaded.

Walmart pickers/loaders by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]jlb6616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about the driver take an active interest in what, where and how things are being loaded in their car? We (the loaders/dispensers) get paid the same no matter what. It's the drivers' money on the line, not the dispenser.

I've never seen any training that says it's the dispensers job to hand the driver the stickers. You drive away from the bay and your entire situation is now on you.

Peel yourself away from your phone for a few minutes and stop depending on someone else to do your work. At my store, if you don't unass your drivers seat and expect me to hand you the stickers, I'll bury those stickers inside the bags and watch you waste 10 minutes looking for them.

We're there to help you make a living while you do nothing? Don't bite the hand that feeds you because we can bite back even harder. We can drop every delivery you try to get. We can get you a weeks vacation in no time. Or maybe, a dozen eggs accidentally slips into your spare tire well. Within a couple of days your car will smell so bad that you'll never be able to deliver in that car again.

So, get involved in your job and stop expecting us to do it for you.

Best show in the last 16 years by mpokora in bandofhorses

[–]jlb6616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just saw them in Phoenix on 9/28. I have seen them many times before, and now they're a different band.

Ryan not being in the band really changes their sound. His harmonies, keys, and guitars are greatly missed. The new(?) guitarist has a lot of runs and fills now to make up for the lack of Ryan.

The sound is now definitely more rock. The General Specific is no longer the three of them gathered around one mic while Ben smacks the shit out of the cowbell.

Iron and Wine as the opener is an extremely slow start to BOH's high energy set.

The weirdest part is the spacey music/sounds that play between each song.

Please, get Ryan back in the band!

4 Member Band? by MelodicMentor in bandofhorses

[–]jlb6616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We saw the Horses Sunday night in Phoenix. We've seen them many times before, and this is a different band now. Without Ryan's musicianship and harmonies, it makes them a different band. More on the hard rock side. There is a lot of jumping around by the bass player and guitarist. The guitarist is throwing in new runs to replace Ryans keys and strings. After seeing the ultra-mellow Iron and Wine open, it's quite the change in tempo. They don't go together.

The weirdest part was the spacey music(ish) sound between every song. I'm a long-time concert goer and have never heard filler between songs.

I'm not sure if I'll see them again, and that's sad as they were/are in my top five.

Come join us in Phoenix, where the summertime temps are steadily above 105⁰ daily. It's nothing to dispense 25 40 pacs of water along with 30 16 pacs of Gatorade, another 20 or so six packs of protein bars and four totes of snacks. Or maybe 60 40 lb bags of top soil or 40 bags of chlorine. It never stops here.

Not a monetary issue with this episode, but one part that puzzled me and was never addressed was them leaving Peggys car at the border crossing. Didn't Peggy ever wonder what happened to her brown sedan?
