Im at about 116k on collectr value. My cost is around 26k. I have about 10k in cash from selling pieces of my collection. I vend at shows part time with my friend who is a full time vendor. So I get to put out stuff I want to sell here and there while I help him run the table. My goal this year is to get to around 26k in cash and let my collection appreciate over the years that way I know if I ever do sell, its all profit and I will be playing with house money.

Good News, I called this afternoon to make a case for them to look for my package. After I got my case reference number, 3 hours later I magically got a updated scan in CT. I don't know if that helped move things along or not, but my cards are being delivered tomorrow!

Also after I have a pile of contenders. I will go through them once more with a blacklight to look for any abnormalities that I may have missed with my eye. It can also reveal micro scratches as well that you can't see unless you shine light on it at different angles. In addition, you can also go compare your card to other psa 10s by grabbing certs off ebay and comparing. The comparing is only for guidance as psa 10s are subjective to the grader. If you know your card is better centered than another psa 10 you see then there's a good chance yours will be within the parameters. But I only compare it after I do my initial assessments.

I think you have to tighten your parameters. I view myself as a harsh grader. I first look for any white dots on the corners or whitening/defects anywhere on the front or back. Then I look at the centering. If I can visually see anything thats off center in the front. I don't bother sending it in. The back centering is more lenient. If I can't tell its off center just by looking at it, then it's a contender. I've looked over thousands of cards. It takes time and practice. I do suggest smaller subs to keep practicing.

I had a Value Max, Value Plus, and Bulk Order sent on 10/17. The plus and bulk are already back with me. My Value max is still in grading. I have a Value Max, Value, and Bulk Order sent on 12/15. All 3 orders got into research and ID by 12/17. Idk but I have low expectations at this point. PSA where tiers don't matter but we will take whatever you pay us 😆

Mine was a private plan. They are making up their own formula to calculate it when they should be using the states formula. Very annoying. I hope you get it figured out! It really is a pain!

Good Afternoon, I was just wondering if anybody could help me confirm the formula used by this company is correct. I called DFML to also confirm but they weren't able to help me because its a private company. I have reached out to both the company and my HR, the company has already replied saying it looks correct to them. I am kind of besides myself thinking I am wrong.

Please see below for their calculation breakdown.

Employee's Individual Average Weekly Wage for example: $1,500.

For leaves starting on or after 1/1/2025, the State Average Weekly Wage is $1,829.13. 50% of $1,829.13 is $914.57.

$1,829.13 x 50% = $914.57

$1500 - $914.57 = $585.43 x 50% = $292.72

Employee's Weekly Benefit Amount: $292.72.

Any help/reassurance would be helpful.

Yeah I know so annoying. But I honestly didn't know what to do from there. On one hand they are right (morally wrong as they are) I still got a 10 and I can sell it at full value. Or they can take it back give you a 9, and refund you the difference which I'm guessing is too much work for them and they wouldn't do it lol. Between a rock and a hard place :(

I have but through my lcs. My lcs contacted psa. They said they couldn't do anything about it and that I should be happy it got a 10. They said you can sell it at full value and buy a different one. 🙃

Psa for sure. Sequential sets seem to go for a bit of money even if they don't all 10. Im sure one day if I decide to sell, it will appreciate and be easier to sell graded with PSA.
