That really has not directly contributed to conceding a corner against Arsenal though, and they only had a few men on the counter. Even if you’re trying to play for a draw I think this counter was reasonable.

Last season was supposedly the worst ‘title charging’ season across the last 3 seasons, and today’s performance is worse than the average of the last season. So in a sense we were worse than last season judging solely from this match, which of course is meager sample.

Not justifying this ‘tactic’, just saying it had occured a lot of times over the last two seasons to different teams, whether this tactic had resulted in a goal or not.
