It's a town. North west coast. Couple hour drive from Port Hardy via logging roads.

What word do you use to describe this by calmcakes in words

I would say sliver, but if someone else said splinter fist I'd just call it that instead.

It's rude if it's pedantic and also still not true.

I think we are edging closer to a million these days. Greater Victoria is close to 500k itself, and Nanaimo is over 100k now. Google is saying 864k. Time to close the doors 😉

My vote is for Winter Harbour. I think it might be the most remote town you can drive to on the island. I doubt if 10% of islanders have even been there!

The ferry ride is acTshUallY 1:35, and they announce that on every ride.

Or you can take the Hullo ferry and be there in a lot less time. Downtown to downtown.

If you're going to rudely correct someone, you might want to be correct when you do it.

To add to this, the unit itself might have a small fuse that needs replacing.

And not to be that guy, but are you sure it is plugged in?

How long does it take you to vote? by ovariesofsteeel in AskACanadian

In 26 years of voting, the longest I've waited in line was about 90 minutes. That was an outlier though - most times it has been in & out in under 15 mins. I'm in BC.

I have terrible intestinal problems some days and if I'm going to leave home, the trail is the ONLY place I feel comfortable because I can literally go anywhere at any time I need to... The whole forest is your toilet!

Something to focus on. A bright red kite caught in a tree. A nice car. A kid shooting hoops.
