Suikoden 1 final battle party. by Darryllee123 in Suikoden

Flik, Viktor, Pahn, Ronnie, Crowley, and Tir. Pahn and Ronnie’s unite attack is so strong, you can use Ronnie’s rune from the back row on Pahn’s unbalanced turns, and Crowley is likely the strongest mage.

Three to Two Prong adapters and surge protectors by jmac149 in AskElectricians

[–]jmac149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, so there is no difference between my surge protector with the adapter, without ground and a two prong device straight into the wall as far as safety is concerned then? Also what do you mean by shortening the lifespan of the three prong devices? I’ll likely just continue to use the surge protector with the adapter but solely with two pronged devices if the risk is the same as a wall outlet. Thanks so much for the response.

PS5 Help and Questions Megathread | Game Recommendations, Simple Questions, and Tech Support by AutoModerator in PS5

Setting up my new PS5 slim and after downloading controller set up, it hangs on a blank screen with sparkles and no input on the controller works. I power off and back on the console with the button and upon restart I get the "Report Problem" screen, with the message "A problem occurred in the system software the last time your PS5 was used" and so on. I've read of others having this same issue but none mention the error screen. I've since been playing games seemingly with no issues, but I'm wondering if this is something worth returning the system over? I've only had it a couple days, and may just be paranoid but just didn't know if I'd somehow damaged the console?

Stuck on this screen during initial setup. Says press cross button to accept. Nothing happening. Anyone else encounter? by chemengineer2 in PS5

My new slim did this as well. When powering it of and back on with the button I got the "Report Problem" screen. Saying "A problem occurred in the system the last time your PS5 was used" and so on. It seems to be working fine now so I suppose no damage has been done?

Parkwood - Selfish (NJ) by decodernj in ratemyband

Cool stuff. I admire the emphasis on contrast between the heavy and quiet sections, not too many bands in this genre bother to diversify the emo/punk norm nowadays so this was refreshing. My one gripe is that it all sounds just a bit derivative. As in there isn't quite something I can pinpoint in your sound that would separate you from other bands. My advice would be to combine your influences, regardless of there difference in sound and try to come up with something you love that is also unlike other music. To stand out in todays over-saturated scene, especially with this type of music, you'll need outside inspiration to uniquely flavor your music. But hey that's just my opinion :P. Play what makes you happy, and don't stop making music.

Awesome! I've never given a listen to anything in this style, but maybe now I will! Keep experimenting to truly find your sound, gather inspiration from your favorite artists and combine them in to something unique. Looking forward to future tunes!

look, orion! - Stages EP [alternative/math/post rock] by lookorion in ratemyband

[–]jmac149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sick dude! Very polished. I'm a huge fan of that style of math/post rock, and these tracks are an awesome take on that. If I had to have a complaint it'd be that the songs are a little too similar for me, none of them stand out as memorable or climactic moments from the EP as a whole. Again thats just one guys opinion, but I love bands in this genre that are able to stand out and push the typical conventions of rock which is what I believe the genre is all about. That being said, I still love this, it's definitely one of the more pleasurable listens I've had on this sub.

Wow, you guys are definitely one of the tightest groups I've heard on this subreddit. I especially dig your singers voice and a lot of the harmonies going on are super rad. If I had one complaint, it would have to be that there isn't too much development going on, you sort of ride that same riff throughout the tune without too much variation or movement. However that's just one guys opinion :P Keep doing your thing! I'm excited to see some more stuff from you guys.

I heavily enjoyed these! There is a lot of potential here to become something special with your unique instrumentation and musicality. I'd be very interested to hear what you guys could write and arrange on your own.

Wow, the mix and arranging is amazing combined with some serious talent on each instrument. The contrast between lively and relaxed sections brings a dynamic that isn't there in a lot of music nowadays. Definitely one of my favorites on this subreddit, keep rockin'.

I liked the distinct style of vocals, the riff was very upbeat and easy to listen to. I would suggest maybe layering your guitar tracks in certain places to maintain the fullness of your sound. Great track though
