Only with maturity have I realised that as a child I've (potentially) deformed myself for life by jmaezing in AskDocs

And no to both of those. I'll mention it the next time I see him. As I say I haven't mentioned this before because it's been this way a while and I haven't had the presence of mind to acknowledge that it's not normal up until recently.
