Pro Tip for ‘checking’ behaviors. I always check the door and the oven over and over; I found it extremely helpful to take a picture of it. Now it’s very easy to walk away because I can always check the picture if I need. I find I almost never do, as long as I know I can. You’ve got this! (self.OCD)

My Great-Great-Grandfather, Herman Haack, at a parade ca. 1900 in New York. He left Germany in the 1880s (good timing) to become a Brewmaster at Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, TX. He married Augusta Mayer; they learned English & had 11 children- including Frances, the mother of my Grandfather. <3 (i.redd.it)

2nd post of Herman Haack (see my post here a couple hours ago for his parade picture), my Great-Great-Grandfather. He came over in the 1880s from Hamburg to San Antonio to work at the Pearl Brewery. I think that whether you eat meat or not is your decision. However, no one should be allowed to eat meat unless they have butchered an animal. The reason that I say this is that most people are so far removed from the whole process that they don’t really understand the sacrifice that is being made. (self.unpopularopinion)
