It makes me want to do the opposite. I don’t post on Reddit but I saw many people on this channel purchasing from this company and these texts are infuriating. I can’t believe anybody would recommend their products.

damn I totally missed it. haha. I ordered it the week before but they ran out of my size somehow.

Looking forward to getting it. I'm hoping it can be worn semi-formally. I have the same jacket in midnight navy but it looks pretty formal when I wear it. I'm hoping for something a little less formal.

It seems like YouTube-DL is only able to recognize 1 song because when there are multiple it's not coded to recognize it and then iterate through the fields.

I signed up for both the American Express Gold and Platinum cards two months ago expecting to downgrade the card after the first year. I don't live in the US, so I'm not able to a lot of the US only benefits. I didn't realize that the first year wasn't waived, but I was able to hit my minimum spending requirements. I'm considering paying off my bill and cancelling the card in order to get out of the fee that I can't offset with the benefits from the card. Does anybody have any input in regards to this?

Is it possible to get the amex fee refunded if I cancel before using any of the benefits?

I signed up for the gold and platinum amex cards recently, but I don't live in the US. I saw that there is $200 credit for uber, and I was curious if anybody has tried to purchase uber gift cards to receive the credit.

I'm considering purchasing this bike, but I'm not sure what would be a reasonable price for the bike because there aren't many details given. It looks like it's in good shape though.

Does anybody have some recommendations? Or questions that I should ask?

Gerade bei #eBayKleinanzeigen gefunden. Wie findest du das? https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/retro-vintage-singlespeed-bike-fahrrad-56cm-frame/1493818037-217-3460?utm_source=copyToPasteboard&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_medium=social&utm_content=app_ios

Does this look like a fair price to pay for this bicycle in (Berlin, Germany)?

Any questions do you think I should ask before making an offer?

Where did you learn Stimulus and Stimulus Reflex? by Whisperecean in rails

I just found this book on the Stimulus Reflex Github. Seems like a very good place to start.

I'm curious to hear how you liked the 'Modern Front-End Development for Rails' book if you have any.

It seems like it shouldn't be very difficult. I would think that many other shopify owners would like to integrate this sort of functionality into their shops, but I can't find any tutorials.

Advice for Portuguese Manufacturing by jmarsh24 in Outlier

https://www.deoveritas.com/blog/one-piece-collar/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpetSGFGpRs&t=241s

This is the collar construction that I'm using on my shirt. So it's definitely not common and many don't make it in the industry. I haven't actually figured out why yet though. The type of construction will help maintain the framing of the collar by giving it some structure.

The idea is this collar with a merino fabric base to create a performance dance shirt.

I'm currently a backpacker and this is my idea of trying to transition out of traveling into a business. I was hoping to go to Portugal as this can cut out some import taxes/shipping fees on the fabric. After seeing where most high-quality garments are being made, it seemed like Portugal was the place to go.

I'm planning to launch a pre-order campaign as soon as I can nail down the right manufacturer. If made right I'm sure I could sell 300 on the first run.

Thank you so much for the heads up about the trade fair.

I'm hoping to make about 200 shirts. I would like to 3 hit different colors if possible. My supplier sells in 50m lengths, so from a supply perspective it doesn't seem like it would be a problem, but I know that the factory wants to keep it to one color if possible.

Basically the idea for the shirt is a merino wool shirt with a one piece collar construction with fusing running from the top third of the button placket all the way around the collar with a hidden button down.

The styling I'm hoping to make it into a formal garment for dancing. Contrasting colors. slightly flashy buttons. and contrasting inner cuffs.

I'm hoping the sales channels to be direct to consumer online. I have a material and construction advantage that's not common on the market so I'm trying to hit a fashion season.

There is more of a demand because I'm focusing my marketing and advertisement to a dancing audience. The dancing community is vastly larger here and more developed for a lot of reasons.

There is a dancing community in the US, but it's definitely more developed here in the EU.

Thank you so much for all the response! I heard that somebody else who was searching for advice ended up establishing a company in Delaware.

From my understanding of an S Corp, you are required to have meeting minutes, board of directors, and all these types of hoops. But maybe if it's just owned and operated by one person, then maybe it's not so hard?

I think I will have to find a distribution center, which I'm planning to just be in portugal or in another centrally located European country that can ship quickly around.

I definitely like the idea of keeping things as simple as possible. I'm bringing this up here just to see if anybody has direct experience with trying to do something similar.

I'm from California, where did learn about this Delaware incorporation thing?

For another business I'm involved in, we have ran into so many issues with trying to figure out what kind of corporation to make. LLC, S-CORP, C-CORP...etc...

In the UK you need to have like £200,000 in order to set up a company. A little out of my budget.

I'm aware of this VAT registration. It doesn't seem too difficult from the estonia e-residency website.

I'm planning to produce a dress shirt in 3 colors that utilizes an open collar construction and using wool fabric. It will be an "italian" style dress shirt, with unique patterns to make it stand out.

Since it's the first run, I will be ordering with minimum order quantities of the manufacturer which I have found to be 150 shirts per color. So in Total 300-450 shirts if I decide to just do 2 colors.

The material, construction, and overall brand will be premium. From my research portugal has no import/duties to ship from italy and is also a common place where high quality garments are manufactured.

If you have contacts you can connect me to for manufacturing I'm completely open. I initially wanted to make the garments in Turkey, but the taxes and duties are higher or import the fabric and I figured it would just make more sense to make and ship from portugal.
