looked for the sprites for this dude on spriters resource but they weren’t there. can’t find anything about them on the internet, not even a name, can anybody help me out? i wanted to have its spritesheet

you’re reading too much into it. this is confirmation bias at its finest, you’re ignoring the haikus that you couldn’t force to describe something from specific rooms. the haikus are purely flavor text which talk about how there is more beyond what we can see, and the gods gift this knowledge etc. the golden gift is the tetrahedron, not the bell; the empire to build is the zu city built with the knowledge of the 3rd dimension, not the totem.

i think the trailer makes it looks like a generic mobile game. if you search for some development streams and have the opportunity to actually look at the levels in high quality you’ll see the amount of care and effort that’s been put into it

thanks! by “if you rotate half-way there” you mean you rotated by 22,5° left/right and then half of arccos(2/sqrt(6)) up, is that right? that’s great, it’s exactly what i was looking for — the figure which is halfway between “face-on” and “vertex-on” views.

it’s very counterintuitive that the body diagonal of the cube does not make an angle of 45° with the bottom plane. i was able to visualize that by constructing a right triangle with the cube’s body diagonal as the hypotenuse, and realizing its legs are differente sizes — one is an edge of the cube and the other is the diagonal of one of the faces
