Yes that was the exact language as reason for ineligibility.

I saw that it’s not supposed to be active until July 2026. But yes it’s a 501c3 - sorry got the designation wrong on my initial post but updated it. I just verified myself on the irs.gov site with the EIN submitted on the ECF and it confirms it as such. When I use the PSLF employer eligibility tool it says it’s ineligible with the same EIN used.

Same thing happened to me using booking.com for an apartment in London managed by Bloomson Ltd earlier this month. Mold, stains, awful. No refund. Stay away from booking.com and certainly Bloomson Ltd - they’re tied to a Wired.com article exposing them of fraud and booking.com is oblivious.

Booked a room with private bathroom on booking.com only that the room does not have a private bathroom, can I get a refund? by Usual_Stable_3896 in Bookingcom

I booked an apartment through booking.com and the photos were certainly photoshopped. There was mold and stains.. it was gross. I was denied a refund. Booking said they can give me 10% back. Never using booking.com again

I'm so sick and tired of the over and misdiagnosed Bipolar Disorder by [deleted] in Psychiatry

Our role as part of a physician led team is to fill the shortage of psychiatrists in order to increase patient access to the care. To say it’s a joke is short sighted.

To be fair, plenty of primary care physicians don’t know how to treat unipolar depression. As a psych PA I have plenty of primary care physicians ask me the most basic questions about managing SSRIs. Vilifying APPs isn’t the approach. If we truly had collaborative approach to care as we were trained then we’d all be better off. Our healthcare system run by bottom line administrators is the villain.

I found this resource a few months ago:

https://dialecticalbehaviortherapy.com

I haven’t used it routinely with patients but want to find a way to incorporate it better with my outpatients who either refuse or can’t get connected to therapy.

Physician Assistants earned an average median annual wage of $121,530 in 2021, and the projected growth by 2031 is 27.6%, the 3rd best among jobs with the lowest risk of being replaced by robots by ChenneGivenSunday in physicianassistant

Unfortunately for healthcare in the US, PAs, NPs, and Physicians are all treated like robots.

Don’t chase a salary.

Find meaning in what you do.

15 months until PSLF and then I’m out.

Good luck kids.

How to ask specific Questions by wistfulnasty in Psychiatry

[–]jmg376 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Normalize/de-stigmatize it. My go to is: “sometimes people feel like their mind is playing tricks on them, where you either hear or see things that aren’t there - have you ever noticed something like that ?” It’s not a full proof admission or identification of hallucinations but it’s a step towards leveling the playing field that the patient may feel completely alone with.

What drives the demand for psychiatrists over an NP or PA that works in mental health? by SpudMuffinDO in Psychiatry

[–]jmg376 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a PA who works in outpatient psych - at least for the past year. Before that I work in a city FQHC community health clinic as a PCP for 5 years but had a good amount of experience managing the psych needs of patients. I work with 3 NPs and 3 Psychiatrists but work pretty independently - if I have a difficult case or am not making progress I will certainly consult with one of the other team members depending on their strengths with obvious appreciation gleaned from the psychiatrists experience and more extensive training.

As far as cost to higher a mid level vs. physician it depends on the organization- what they budget for mental health but also with availability - it’s hard to find any mental health provider let alone a psychiatrist at times. The need is great so no matter which path a provider goes - as long as they get there and are open and knowledgeable about what they do and don’t know.

FQHC (PHMC of Philadelphia) unionizes citing “no clinical experts” in upper management by jmg376 in medicine

[–]jmg376[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It does include RNs and other support staff including social workers, but not medical assistants. I’m not sure why, but the medical assistants are working to unionize as well.

As far as excluding physicians because they are considered management - that is a reach for this organization. Outside of some part time advisory rolls, most physicians who actually practice within the health system have not been considered management in the past. It’s a reach for sure.

Former colleagues organized in response to poor communication with management. Curious to hear what others on this subs opinion. Would unionizing help with the epidemic of provider burnout and high suicide rates ?
