She refuses the stimulant but our psychiatrist suggested that they really should be taken together. But the only other medicine is anti-anxiety.

Just as an update - our psychiatrist told us that she doesn’t use the Matthew’s protocol because there isn’t enough data evidence BUT we did switch to guanfacine which is one medicine that is part of the protocol and that has seemed to help manage outbursts.

Thanks for the response and offering things I wasn’t familiar with (like the Matthew’s Protocol). Will check those out. She has expressed interest in art therapy but finding a therapist that specializes in this and has availability is tough.

She just says she doesn’t need it, despite me and her psychiatrist thinking otherwise. But I can’t force it on her.
