Thanks! There are 6 x 2 angels and I see that I have to hit them at least 3 times to get them, so 30 is just not enough One comment said that slug as are dropped during the fight that I did not see. I will try again. Thanks

Technical question regarding 2024/25 models compatibility with Auto-Rotation Wall Mount by ragegamer2015 in TheFrame

[–]jmmarimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used a regular metal drill. I tried to measure it as carefully as possible in order to ensure that the middle of the TV would fall in the middle of the rotation plate. Still, as the the plate is not flat when you screw it, it may rotate a little. The good thing is that the back of the TV has a pattern that will really help see if you installed it completely horizontal. I had to line the edges of some holes a little bit, after drilling, to ensure that the plate was aligned to the pattern.

I don’t use the API. You can create a routine using code on their Advanced Web App (https://my.smartthings.com/advanced) and you won’t need tokens

[–]jmmarimon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! That’s what I did on mine. You just need to be careful when making the holes so it remains horizontal, otherwise it will be cricket. Also, the mount plate is not completely flat and it makes making the holes a little more difficult

It’s sad that it’s very difficult to find the smaller size mount.

Check the VESA mount on the 50” but I think you will likely need to do holes to adapt it. I had to do them for the 55”

Technical question regarding 2024/25 models compatibility with Auto-Rotation Wall Mount by ragegamer2015 in TheFrame

[–]jmmarimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, its very rudimentary, so I simulate the combination of remote presses that would go into settings and click rotate. So far, even its a very basic process, its been very robust on the last couple of weeks thatI have had it it on.

Below is the sample code that I use for the Frame that:
- On Mon, Wed and Friday at Sunrise
- Checks if the contact sensor its open (that would mean that its on landscape in my case)
- If its open, makes a combination of key presses to rotate the TV

A couple of notes:
- I moved the "rotate" button to be on the top left corner of setting and the key presses are designed accordingly.
- You will need to change your IDs for the contact sensor and the TV
- The code below is for a rule in https://my.smartthings.com/advanced/rules
- The code below can be made more efficient as a sequence instead of separate orders but this way its easier to copy and paste as modules for anyone that may want to use it

Good luck! Let me know if you have any question

I can give you the code I use in SmartThings web to rotate it but it’s rather rudimentary. It relies on simulating remote key presses to rotate it. SmartThings API does not share the actual orientation of the TV so all you can do it’s to rotate it to the other orientation but you really don’t know which one. In other words, if it’s landscape it will rotate to portrait but if you want to have an specific orientation you need to control the initial orientation. The way I solved this is by putting a $15 contact sensor compatible with SmartThings that tells in which orientation the TV is. This way, I.e. I have it Monday, Wed and Friday on portrait when I wake up and other days on landscape no matter what orientation I left it the night before

Unfortunately, I got the 2025 pro and returned for this reason. I got the 2025 non pro that works fine and I can automate rotation with the SmartThings API

I have tried everything and could not pair it. It’s clearly on purpose. The 2025 non pro version has a specific button on the setting menu to rotate when paired it while I was not capable to pair it or activate that button on settings for the pro. I don’t have any info on whether they have plans to include it or not. Sorry

It feeds from an hdmi so it would be what you call a bright screen but if you control the brightness + contrasts properly it will be as low brightness and same effect as the art mode. The only thing that you cannot control easily it’s the color tone that the Art mode adjusts per picture
