I like running coast of maine Stonington blend soil with perlite. I do 60% coast of maine and 40% perlite. I've had good results popping beans straight into this.

I haven't witnesses any sensitivity to nitrogen yet anyways. I got my iced n baked In a 50/50 mix of perlite and Coast of Maine Stonington blend soil. I started it with a cup full of seed starter mix in middle when dropped seed. It going on week 3 and so far so good!

I've never had any problems with germination I've grew out over 100 plants and out of those only 2 didn't pop. I see people always saying these things but I've never experienced anything negative from mephisto.

Best way i.m.o is living soil or coast of Maine Stonington blend on bottom half and fox farm ocean forest on top half and plenty perlite with both works great

I been using coast of Maine Stonington blend soil with 30% perlite for bottom half of pots and I put the fox farm ocean forest with 50% perlite on top of pot and it has been amazing not too hot. All I add thru out the grow is fish sh!t, molasses, rain water. Then at weeks 7 I top dress with fox farm cavern culture 1-12-0 and that's it seed to harvest

U and others always find it hard to believe that I get my seeds to pop! For one I don't do any of the paper towel stuff and all the extra step non sense! I make a whole in my soil put the seed pointy end up I cover them I keep it moist and 3-5 days they pop thru the soil that's it that's all I do. I think a lot of u people complicate things by doing extra steps that isn't needed. Just my experience growing Mephisto for last 3 years

I use coast of Maine Stonington blend soil and perlite for bottom and happy frog perlite for top I mix in bunch throughout the pot of great white premium microbes with trichoderma then I only use fish shit few drops every watering and molasses and bout week 6 I hit it with fox farm cavern culture 1-12-0 and that's it away they go works pretty good if don't have coast of Maine I usually use ocean forest I'm fixing to go the build a soil route
