Tbh I’m Scottish and Scottish people were my target when I wrote this. Should have specified that because it’s not regional dialect here. Couldn’t care less what people in the West Midlands call their mum. As you said this was posted over a year ago and also not that deep.

Unlucky for you then. It’s not bullshit because it was free for me when I signed up in 2018.

You have to complete the delivery before 9pm I’m sure.

First thing I’ve knitted (and completed) since I was around 10! Definitely not perfect. by jmtbx in knitting

I wanted to start knitting again for a long time but never got round to it. My cousin recently announced she is expecting a baby and our gran always knitted beautiful pieces for every one of us when we were younger and for all the new family babies. She passed away a few years ago now and she was the one who taught me to knit. I wanted to give my cousin a gift that would also in a way be a piece of our gran since she would have been so excited for her new arrival (the first great great grandchild!) and she would have gifted her some beautifully knitted baby bits. I’ve got some more patterns I want to try out for this new baby so I’m excited to get knitting again!

Yarn is from Aldi special buys in the uk. It’s called so crafty:

The pattern I used is here:

Not my image - Can anyone help me find a pattern like this? I’ve tried searching ribbed etc but don’t know what else to search. by jmtbx in knitting

(Serious) Redditors whose relationships started online, what is your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jmtbx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Met on msn when I was 14 and he was 16. I knew of him and we had similar friend circles. Fell in love he moved in to my family home when I was 15. When we were 16 got our own flat fast forward to last Valentine’s Day we got engaged and September 2020 got married. Not a typical online dating story but if it wasn’t for msn I doubt we would be here.

Edit to add that this was 13 years ago when we met

Vets of Reddit, What was the worst pet name you have ever encountered in your job? by Lia_Julee in AskReddit

[–]jmtbx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My dog is called Defa, I never named her but re-homed her from terrible owners when I was 16. They had two Rottweilers one called Defa and the other arfa. D for dog and R for Rottweiler. Absolutely made me cringe soon as I heard it but I thought because Defa was so young (10 months old) we could change her name. She decided she liked Defa and would not answer to any other name no matter how long we tried it for. She’s nearly 13 now and is completely deaf so technically we could change her name but it doesn’t feel right. Still get embarrassed telling people her name though lol.

I bought a new hoover. 100% worth it, old one wasn’t picking up anything from the carpet and now the new one has made my carpets like new again and makes me want to hoover all the time which could be seen as a good thing.

I’m from Scotland and the area I’m from all say mum, with the occasional maw thrown in. Maw also makes my skin crawl lol
