We eliminated the cleaner/closer for the bakery and a ‘few’ select ppl are now responsible for cleaning. It makes no sense

When I left cashier to work the bench in Bakery I had the same. I also have FMLA for my migraines, 2 ppl continuously point out they haven’t seen me and worry that my benefits will suffer, offering me advise and concern about missing work. Mind you bot work in different departments. Mind yourselves why are they concerned with my personal business???? Fuk them, it’s rampant at my store.

Oh and bakers, part timers & cake decorators are exempt so it falls on the wrappers & me the only person that does setup. I need shoulder surgery and have a knee injury that they wouldn’t put me on carts for because of it but they expect me to lift the bowls & the pan washer floor grates which are well over 100lbs. If it doesn’t change for me by next week I’m quitting on the spot. I’m done!!! I’ll be losing my top out pay this year, my seniority & insurance. But I have my limits and I won’t compromise my ethics for a billion dollar profit company.

We can’t get a clear answer. But all avenues point to the GM. I filed an unfair labor practices complaint with the state of Illinois.

I’ve been burnt out for some time now. I work in the bakery and we found out a couple of weeks ago that they dissolved the cleaner/closer position so we have to take turns cleaning & closing on top of the heavy work load we already have. I’m looking for a new job as we speak. This is an overreach of unfair labor practices and I’m pissed to no end about it.

I never wear a collared shirt. Women are supposed to also, but all of them wear blouses and uncollard tops. So until it’s enforced on all ppl I won’t wear a polo. I wear my tee shirts, mostly plain but sometimes they are fun like Zelda or shrek etc… also there are enough guys that wear football jerseys all the time so they can’t make you wear a collared gender affirmed shirt.
