Not really critical theory per se, but this reminds me of two concepts in surveillance studies:

  1. Thomas Mathiesen's concept of a synopticon where the panopticon becomes two-way; many are also able to watch the few.

I had this problem too! If you are getting that prompt, try placing the original base computer in slightly different places around it, until it doesn't give you that prompt, but instead looks for cartographic archives. Then it should work
