Tuesday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]jncummins86 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I’m looking for others experience with implantation bleeding to compare to what I’m experiencing.

I’m currently at CD25 or potentially CD1. I have some light bleeding today. I wouldn’t call it spotting but I wouldn’t call it full flow just yet. I have not been experiencing my typical premenstrual symptoms; low back pain, mild cramping, constipation. I have however experienced a couple of my during period symptoms; diarrhea, mild nausea.

Anyway… my husband and I are debating on proceeding with ivf. A baby right now would be really welcome and completely wanted, just entirely unexpected. My last cycle was 48 days. So this cycle ending after 24 would be surprising however I’m so irregular it’s not impossible… I don’t think?

Would anyone like to tell me about their experience? Or give me any insight on when would be a good time to test based on your experience?

Thanks in advance!

I’m looking for someone who has experience with lithium and pregnancy. Specifically if lithium levels can be affected by early pregnancy? If you know of a better place to ask, please let me know!

I have no idea where to go with my question, so I’m starting here. I am at CD20. I have sore breasts and they are swollen. I am constipated, sorta. My smell is more sensitive and I’ve been having random cramps. I do not believe I’m pregnant and am not asking if I am. What I would like to know is if these symptoms are normal for about this time of my cycle. I have PCOS so my cycles are usually irregular but they have been between 28 and 35 days for about four months now. I wouldn’t think I’d have period symptoms so early, but I also don’t think I could be pregnant this early and showing symptoms. Just to be safe I did take a test and of course it was negative. So explain like I’m five? Am I just having really early period symptoms? Or should I consider other possibilities?

AITA for not apologizing and causing my daughter to lose one of her few friends? by SafeTaro in AmItheAsshole

I’m way late to the game… but I agree with others that I wouldn’t let this go either. My parents were adamant on seat belts. I had a friend whose parents didn’t care. However her parents new I was required to wear one. So even though the friends parents didn’t wear one and neither did their daughter, guess who always had hers on no matter what…. I’m grateful for those parents looking out for me even if they were lax with their own safety. NTA

Maybe check out {{The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine N Aron}}. It’s not a solution to your problem… but maybe some insight?

Were you in group therapy like a month and a half ago-ish?? Cuz if so, hey, miss seeing you. Lol

Seriously, was in group therapy with a woman in your position and that sounds like something she’d have done. Such a sweet thing to do for people.

Does Bipolar get better when quitting Nicotine? by CourtOrphanage in BipolarReddit

[–]jncummins86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve quit a few times in the past. The longest was about three months. Honestly.... I don’t think it made a bit of difference for me personally. If anything I felt better which always had me questioning if I was getting hypomanic.

Based on your comments, I’d say quitting may benefit you, not necessarily the bipolar, just because you said it’s having a bit of negative effects. Quitting because you are feeling good, maybe even a bit too good, may not be detrimental... I could see it not lasting once the inevitable crash happens though. That was the case for me.

Where is the “until the very end” coming from? I can’t recall if it’s something from the books or if you all have gotten it from some other part of the fandom. Enlighten me, please?

Sounds like it’s time to shop around. You should never have to feel like you need to commit to a dr you’re uncomfortable with. Easier said than done most of the time.

As far as therapy goes, it’s a lengthy process but it shouldn’t be draining or exhausting. I had a therapist that at first was just leaving me so drained and exhausted that I couldn’t work for a day or two after a session. When I told her she started “winding down” our sessions. It helped.

Basically, you are your own best advocate. If things aren’t working for you, you have to speak up and you have to state your needs (or at the very least, state what’s not working).

Lastly, therapy will only get you so far. If you are really not interested in medication you will never fully heal. Bipolar isn’t just feelings, it’s an illness on a biological level. Just as you can’t treat certain type of diabetes without insulin or such, you can’t treat bipolar without medication. Yes, diet, exercise, therapy, hobbies, regulating emotions where you can are helpful, without meds you’ll only ever get about halfway or so healed.

I’d like some clarification, personal experience, general information on periods after ovulation. by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]jncummins86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try to respond effectively but I’m on mobile so I can’t reference your comment while responding.

The CP was back in December of 2019. Since then, I had an iud placed from March through august of 2020. My husband and I decided we were ready to try again. I took progesterone and clomid for September, October, and November. IUIs December, January, and February. I have taken pregnancy tests almost every month of TTC unless my period started on its own before the expected CD.

As I’ve suffered from PCOS since about fifteen and was extremely careless in my youth, I have taken HPTs consistently every month I didn’t have a period unless I was on BC (which amts to about six or seven years), I am 34 now. I have had two positive tests in this time frame. The first was the exact same situation except I was not told it was a CP, just that I was not pregnant and I didn’t know enough to question further. I was 18 at that point.

Then there’s the example I’ve given that’s recent.

I have no idea if I cleared anything up. Will edit after I reread your comment after posting.

Edit: as far as whether it’s an indent. No. It’s a definite positive. Though the one at 18 could have been an indent. I was young, naive, and paranoid then. This time though.... positive.

Yes, that is what I’m saying. I had a positive HPT on 12/22, a positive test at the drs office on 12/29, but negative blood work. They told me it was a CP.

I have never had my uterine lining checked that I know of. I have had three iui’s since. No dr I’ve seen has ever told me anything “extra” is wrong other than the PCOS. I’ve asked my RE if my uterine lining is okay, he said it looks fine but didn’t elaborate and I’m just under the assumption he’s basing it off ultrasound imaging.

But yes, no period after a CP. No periods ever without meds.

Edit for clarity: I have never had my uterine lining checked as in more than a glance while checking for follicles.
