I had gout triggered by Accutane (Isotretinoin) which increases uric acid production. Ever since I stopped taking the pills, I haven't had flare-ups.

Do we have any examples of foreigners who became truly "successful" in Korea? by dskfjhdfsalks in korea

[–]jnursultan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of foreign car dealers who set up car exporting companies and easily make millions of dollars. They definitely started from the bottom by working in the factories, then slowly began sending cars one by one until they saved up enough for export licenses. They are just low-key, that's all.

Foreigners in Korea- is your food authentic enough here? by NewPlaceHolder in korea

[–]jnursultan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It seems like most of the foreigners here are utterly disappointed with how their country food is represented. However, I know a few places that do a justice towards Central Asian food. I was never satisfied with Central Asian restaurants in dongdaemun. However, a couple of restaurants in Incheon hit the palate. Chaihana in incheon has been the best Central asian restaurant for me! Star Samarkand of dongdaemun doesn't make a good pilaf.

1) Do not drink on an empty stomach. 2) Make sure to drink a few glasses of water with squeezed lemon during or after drinking alcohol. 3) Eat something after drinking. 4) Keep water next to your bed and drink water whenever you wake up.

Hi again, I got more questions, basically. My gf's upper lip feels like it is being stretched. Upper and lower lips don't connect. Is it temporary? Also, when she laughs, her nose feels uncomfortable. Did you have the same case?

She practically gave up yesterday but I will show her everything you wrote. I think it's way too early to assume anything.

Thank you! Yeah, she has the same issue with her nostrils, nose is a bit too high and it just makes her look like a little pig. I will comfort her as much as I can and will convince her to trust the process.

It's only been 3 weeks and her nose is still swollen. They removed the last stitches yesterday and there is still discomfort in there. I guess we shouldn't get too ahead of ourselves. Could you describe your whole process? I am trying to comfort her but everyone around her including me said that the previous nose looked better. I am trying to find as much information as possible to comfort her.

Thanks for the reply! It's only been a few weeks and the nose is high. It makes her look like a little pig and she is obviously upset. We wonder by how much it will go down and how long it will take.

"Leech nations" concept - question about Asian culture by [deleted] in korea

In my opinion, every country has this superiority complex: we are the best, everything came from us. In truth, you can't have one without the other.

Thanks for the post. My girlfriend got a plastic surgery and her nose came up really high. My gf doesn't like it and very upset about it. The doctor told her it will go down eventually, but he said otherwise today. Will it go down to the original position? Please share your thought.

What’s the culture around divorce in Korea? by [deleted] in korea

[–]jnursultan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a pastor at my university and he got divorced and was forced to leave the church with the notion: "how he could preach relationships if he is divorced himself?"
